I think I'll get the link mounts on the trailing arms done, as I know that they are going there, then I'll do some more experimenting with it to see what the arm angles are etc, and then I'll decide if I keep it there or figure out another way to locate it and still package everything else I want in the back half.

Thanks so much for your help man!

Alright, made the mounts on the link

I also shortened the links. Now at ride height the arm is at 10° up. 35° at full bump, and -17.5° at full droop.

I think I'm happy with that as I don't have to move the bar location.

Assuming the heat treatment level and the arm length are proper, I think you'll be very happy with that geometry!

stoked! I went with the medium heat treat which is what was kind of recommended on their website, so I can go stiffer or softer if I'm unhappy with it. I was thinking the bar would probably be a little on the stiff side, so I'm hoping that having the links on the trailing arms brings it into the sweet spot for me. I guess we'll find out in a couple years

I have the medium as well. How long are your arms? I've only really been off road once since getting the truck drivable, so like fresh coils, it still has some breaking in to do, but from the driving I have done, I think medium is probably perfect for go fast trucks our size/weight. It's probably a hair stiff for crawling, but again, we'll have to break it in and see.

Awesome that's good to hear. I have the 24" arms. What did you go with? My truck will also have the weight a lot further rearward than a typical tacoma since the engine is pushed back around 16"

I have 22s, so mine would normally be a bit stiffer, however with your arms up a little at ride height, they're probably pretty comparable.

Did you pay with your wheelbase at all?

Sweet! I'm super excited to drive this thing.

Truck was originally a dclb so around 141" wb. Short bed is around 127", but that's too short to have big tires and travel without putting everything inside the cab, so I went in between the two. There's no front end yet, so I don't know exactly what the wb will be, but it should be around 133-134" pretty much right in between the two

Hell yea. I’ll be out thier in my white 3rd gen this year. Let’s link and go rip some lines. Just now following along with you build. This is by far one of the most badass tacos out there currently. Can’t wait to see this truck whoop some ass racing! I plan to race my truck eventually.

Finally got my shifter mount design in fusion done and built it last night. Pretty stoked. Need to mount the hand brake next, then that's the console done

yep, heavily inspired by MCD1 on James' truck. I tagged them in a photo on IG and Morgan sent me a voice message saying it was sick and I did a good job, so I'm pretty pumped on that haha.

Now I just gotta make another mount for the hand brake

super interested! I also need to get a couple axle driveplate dust caps with wheel hub spacers machined. I haven't designed them yet but they should be relatively simple. That something you could do as well?

    I'm a bit of a sucker myself!

Haha thanks, figured I would put all the mangled panels on the wall haha. I might cut an old 37" tire in half and stick it up there as well in the wheel wells.
