just a couple of things tbh
only thing i will say about the raptor when i test drove one they are tons of fun but they are not the best for towing. someone i know has one on 37s and tows a small boat with it and just having the boat on the back it squats and rubs on the tires so if you are wanting it to tow its not the best unless you put helper bags in it and then take them out when you want to play offroad.

Fair point. I don't have anything to tow or plan to, other than this small bike, so other than payload I should be good. I luckily have a couple good friends with the typical 1-ton diesel tow rigs who can assist when I need proper towing duties.

Loading the bike into a bed, and having factory plush suspension and 35's to bomb some FSR's and mild trails is pretty appealing. Add in having kids and dog and usable room in a truck makes more sense than my current setup in the t4r.

thats fair they can still tow max at 8700lbs which is still very good but since they have soft suspension they will squat more then my truck with the same towing. but should do everything you need! didnt know if you were looking at like a camper or anything lol

for sure agree on the fire roads thou! ive been looking at buying raptor suspension to swap into my truck. i dont realllly need it but it would be tons of fun haha! trying to talk my self out of mid travel haha

before you ask yes i can buy a raptor but finding the years i want in the supercab 6.5ft bed its pricey and hard to find so not really worth it tbh!

Buddy finally got his oven working and was able to do a test of the bronze for my bikes wheels. This is just a tube hit with a wire so not fully prepped but it gives you an idea of the color with clear coat next to the bike!

hey all i got a question! i found a great deal on a left over 23 xr150l for 2800 otd if you bring cash or your own loan from a bank.

i asked about a finance option through the dealer and that makes the price go up. to 3200 otd because of the bs doc fees and something about they will do the tag and title work there so thats the other extra fee. i had asked if he could just not mess with the tags and title work and i could do it here in missouri but was told they legally cant sell the vehicle unless its done?

ive never bought a new vehicle out of state is that something states do?

For some reason I can't explain, I keep looking at the new RE's. A Himalayan and either a Bear or GT650(would probably pick this one) would do me well.....I think :D I mean it'd basically be a 2 for 1 deal

Title has to be done if there is a lien. Has to be sent to your county. Tax requirements vary by state.

For me, I bought the Grom new in Idaho. I paid Idaho sales tax and was given the manufacturers certificate of origin (basically a pre-title). I then took that to the Washington DOL, paid the difference in sales tax between the two states, title, and plate fees, and walked out with a registration and got the title in the mail a few weeks later. I'm assuming it'd work the same way. You're buying it un-registered with the MCO, you take it to your state to pay the fees and register. They probably can't loan on it un-registered.

Those 650 RE's look awesome. I think they'll sell great.

They supposedly have a 650 ADV in the works. Seems to make sense with all the other 650 offerings.

i say you buy all 3!
im guessing thats only for street legal bikes? since my klx all i got was a cert of origin and thats it lol
thats what im guessing is they cant loan on it unregistered for street capable bikes since my klx i got the cert of origin and gave them my cash and got the loan and left still got that cert of origin lol.

i can talk to my bank about a small loan towards it but man they are slow lol so it prob wouldnt happen till like next week ish lol

I think things have changed through the years. When I bought my truck new (2014) I was given the title and did it myself at the dmv.

When i bought yz450f (2016) new i was given the mso and didnt do anything with it even though i had a lien.

when i bought my 690 (2017) they said they had to do all the paperwork. Which included them trying to do all the tag bs but eventually the title got shipped back to them and i got it from them.

when i bought my wrx (2022) from MO they did the paperwork and tag all that.

When I bought my golf r (2023) from AL they did all the paperwork too. I even had to pay them directly so they could pay the rest of the sales/property tax when it wasn't enough
Not necessarily. Offroad bikes don't have to ie non-street legal from the manufacturer.

the bank says you can! its okay ill ride one for you so it doesnt just sit around!
i wonder if the change was in 2019? since thats the first time i had to do that at the dealer for a new vehicle which was my si.

yet when i got my 22 ranger i had to go to them dmv still to tag the vehicle.

my klx is like your yz450f was.

the golf r one is a wild one ive never had to do that one.

Yeah the golf threw me for a loop and frustrated me. My temp tag expired and because of the stupid process I wasn't able to transfer my personalized plate

Anyone have any insight into the logistics of shipping bikes to and from track days? If I can make it work, I'm considering shipping the Tuono to COTA for the Aprilia Racer Days event the day after the MotoGP race. Something of a birthday present for myself. Plan A would be to try have the bike hitch a ride with the guys at Iconic, but if that's not an option, I don't even know where to start.

I've shipped bikes, it's a pain. You don't usually get to pick a delivery date, it's usually just, "in a couple weeks when he gets there". I'd try Motoshippers tho, former racer owns it, good dude and company. Otherwise find a local forum and see if anyone else is going or has room. Talk to you Aprilia dealer, see if they're going and have room. Etc

I was going to say Iconic, I know they've been working hard on their transport services.
