Going to the rail from the filter.

Shouldn’t be too hard to replace unless you fucked the banjo fitting dealio. Just a piece of 1/4 hose and some fuel injection rated clamps

Fucked up the banjo thing. On both ends. Trying to figure out a decent replacement for it without dropping 140 bucks.

Oof. I’d call Toyota and see if you can get a part number to run past other sources. Junk yards are always nice.

Managed to get a part number but it's for a 3rz, not 2rz. Screenshot_20250109_194618_Chrome.jpg This is what I found.

They’re pretty similar engines, maybe they use the same one. If you can’t get to a pick n pull I’d call Toyota to verify. Or if you find somewhere selling just the banjo fittings you could make your own with some fuel line and clamps if it’s cheaper. I’d definitely do some thorough internetting to see if anyone’s selling the fittings for cheap

    That's the current plan.

If I can get the metal ends off the banjo things, I'll just throw some lines on it and call it good.

Oh I understand what you’re dealing with now. If you don’t have access to a Bench grinder or dremel tool, buy a bastard file and file down the metal hose clamp before peeling it off with some pliers. Done deal. It’s how I modified the same hose for my filter relocation.

For a bit I thought you’d messed up the part that attaches to the fuel rail and I was like how on earth

Best I got is a Sawzall. That said, file it is. Sorry, should've posted photos on the first reply.

It won’t take as long as you might think. A brand spankin’ new bastard file will get it done in a few minutes.

Fuel rail banjo eye got a bit messed up but still eyeballing everything and taking my time putting it back together.

Rock on man! Yeah it did get a little bent up there. How’s it running?

Not back together yet. Have to partially install the intake manifold to see where and how to run the fuel line from the filter to the rail. Doing it slow so I don't mess anything else up.

I put mine through its original pathway between the third and fourth tube on the manifold. Fourth being the one closest to the firewall. Dropping a shoelace down from the top and tying it around the banjo fitting will help you pull it through

Piecing it together bit by bit. The placement is semi-finalized. 20250112_152220.jpg 20250112_152434.jpg
Has plenty of clearance from the intake manifold. I measured out the fuel line and set it to side.

    20250112_152607.jpg
Only clamps I could find, got it on tight.

Waiting on my friend to swing by and help me wire a couple connectors. Until then, it's on hold.

    Finished. 20250115_172111.jpg
Had a leak at banjo fittings, added a crush washer. No more leak.

Not sure if this would help but added a ziptie to help hold it in. 20250115_172149.jpg

Passed that, it's good. Minus an odd high idle... gonna figure that out before I drive more than 10 minutes.
