Do they have full depth sipes? I don't want to buy a tire where the siping is gone (along with wet/snow traction) well before the tread depth becomes unusable.

They say they have 3D siping. Only time will tell.

The sipes are not full depth, which I was disappointed about. But like hillborn said, we will see how they wear. There is certainly a lot of siping.

The mud terrains I had before these actually had deeper sipes, believe it or not.

I've had tires with full depth sipes, BFG KO2, and they were horrible in wet, snow and mud. The Cooper ST Maxx I run on my Tacoma are a better tire than the KO2s. Too many sipes also allow the thread blocks to squirm under load and that will increase wear.

That’s an interesting point. I also assume that if they were able to get the tire certified with the 3PMS, it must be good in the rain and snow.

I could see where full depth sipes that go to the very outside edge of the block (especially on both sides or directly through the block from edge to edge) could lead to chunks of the block tearing away.

I think the 3D sipes are so that they close up against each other tightly to stiffen the tread block under load.

That would make sense, because the sipes on these tires are packed together pretty tightly. So far they have been great on wet pavement but I haven’t had them long enough to write any real review.

I don’t have time to write a ton at the moment because I’m out on the road but I’ve put ~3K miles on these tires this week and they are by far my favorite tire I’ve run to date on the truck.

Dirt, gravel, mud, rain, highway, backcountry roads…these things have been absolutely crushing it. They preform fantastic off road and drive like a highway tire at speeds up to 80mph.

We’ll see if we get any snow in my area this year. We haven’t had more than a few inches the last couple winters. With all the siping, I think they will be extremely good in the snow.

Also looking at these new G018s for tires for my new '24 in a 255/80/17 instead of the Toyo AT3.
They are a couple lbs heavier, but the siping looks better for winter.

If the wet weather performance is any indication of their winter performance, it’s all good. I drove through a rain storm in the highway mountain passes of Idaho the other week and these things were fantastic.

Update: Tires do very well in light snow. I am not experiencing any flat spots after being parked for several days. Also noticing that the tires are holding pressure. I am not having to add air all the time to maintain where I put them at.

Same here. I forgot to post a snow update after we got about a foot the other week. This tires are really fantastic in all weather and I can now say the same for snow and slush. They definitely live up to the 3PMS rating.

More ice and snow on the roads here today and I got to really test these tires out. I can now definitively say these are the best all terrain tires I’ve ever run, and probably the best tires in general that I’ve had on any of my vehicles. Yokohama really knocked it out of the park with these.

I had zero issues while driving around in about 1” of snow and ice on the roads. I tried to get the truck to break loose in a couple places where it was safe and I just couldn’t get these tires to break traction even while it was actively snowing. I will definitely be getting another set of these when this set wears out.

I've put about 2k miles on my set of GO18s, and I've been very pleased so far. I'm curious to see how they continue to perform and sound with mileage.

Just received my G018's. Thought I would share my observations on the sipe depth since it has been impossible to find anything online. Mine are LT265/75R16 and have a actual weight of 49.2 (spec says 49.7 so glad its a bit lighter). The tread depth is 18/32 and sipe depth is 16/32. That is pretty much full depth in my opinion since you should be replacing the tires once you get to 2/32 anyways. Probably won't get around to installing till the spring, but ordered them now because Yokahama is offering $100 off purchase of 4 (or $125 off 5) with an invite code that pops up when you visit https://www.yokohamatire.com/tires/geolandar-a-t4

Nice, you will love them. Hands down the best all purpose tire I’ve ever run on my Tacoma.

Currently in Moab. Tires did great in loose sand and loose rock. Aired down to 20 psi. No serious offroading. Just light trails. They do like to pick up and throw rocks. They did very nice on the way here through the mountain passes during a light snow storm.
