Good question. But still, that’s light as hell considering 1k lbs in spare tires and fuel.

My truck being as light as it is, is probably the ONLY reason my driveline is still alive. I’m over 30k miles deep on 37’s with no issues at all. Plus it’s not a shitty E locker rear. So that helps.

Anyone have a set of Total Chaos Tacoma LCA inner sleeves kicking around? Looking for exact outer diameter of the sleeve to manufacture delrin bushings, and the forward sleeves don't seem to use a nominal size. Rear's are an obvious 1", but poly doesn't exactly give the most accurate measurements to translate into a tougher material like delrin and the forward sure ain't a nominal size. Mine are still on the truck....

Should be able to just order a kit from dirt king unless you’re set on making them yourself. I believe a few people here have swapped their Delrin kit in

If you’re making your own bushings just get 1” DOM and machine to size.

Has anyone taken the rear piece of a 4x drive shaft and connected it to the front piece of a 2wd drive shaft for an LT setup?

that would add the slip yoke and the lengths look like they’d work.

Or does anyone have a 4x drive shaft that they dont need?

The center point mount is different, where the carrier bearing bolts up. That's why on my 4x4 conversion I had to make an extention so center support bearing would bolt up. Crossmember is different.

Don't know if you knew that or not but that is the big difference

I did not. I was expecting the 2wd front shaft to be longer do to not having the transfer case but didn’t look into it much more than that.

I had Drivelines Incorporated in MV put a slip yolk, new u joints, and balance my rear shaft for a good price.
Probably a little far north for you but they did a solid job. I’d go to them again.

Turns out to use the archive shackles you need their hangers too. That’s too rich for this truck. Way more than what I wanted to do.

how does no one make bolt in shackles?

4.5 over BTF long travel kit. King 2.5 x 8 adjustable coil overs. 2.0 king bump stops. Kalil bumper
Hey guys I got a question for anyone with 3 gen, BTF long travel. Just bought the kit and I’m waiting for it to come in. I wanted to know how many guys are running aftermarket bump stops. I got king 2.0 bump stops with just a regular can setup. I can’t seem to find how close I should weld that setup to the bump stop pad from the frame. Kinda looking for a cheat sheet. I’ve looked at a lot of pages on this thread but don’t have time to go through almost 5000 pages and won’t have a lot of time to do the full setup as it will be a daily driver. TIA.

First you’re going to have to cut the stock bump pad shit off the frame if you plan to run a coil over/bypass shock with 2.0 bumps. Location will be based on where the LCA bump pad ends up when you cycle the suspension to full bump. Most likely you will have to fab up some plates to hold the bump can to the frame. On My setup those plates on the side of the bump cans were handmade for my install. IMG_0716.jpg

Like a project, hadn't spun up the lathe in a while...and Canadian, so exchange/duties turns a set of bushings and sleeves into $300.

In hindsight that would've been the play, but here we are. I'm concluding the sleeve OD is indeed a nominal size, and TC just leaves ample room between the sleeve and the poly bushing to allow for grease and movement. May need to add some grooves like TC has in their poly bushings to allow for better grease flow. I realize most delrin kits are ran dry, but I'm not so sure that'd be the play in my climate.
