I need new mirrors for the 701. The previous owner put short-stem Ram mirrors on it and I can't see past my arms with them lol

I have double take mirrors on my BMW and like them, but am debating being cheap and getting Amazon knockoff or MZS or something. I know I don't want bar ends. https://www.amazon.com/MZS-Adventure-Motorcycle-Mirrors-Black/dp/B0CSNJNRL3 These will give me an extra 2" in length. Buying new Ram arms would be more than the MZS and the balls are starting to have the rubber tear off anyway.

Anyone have a mirror that they love? Folding, not folding, don't really care.

I bought these for mine. I just couldn't justify the cost for the double take ones. The arms are aluminum.

Ive never been a fan of the ram mount mirrors.

I did like drc folding mirrors. In fact I still have them if you would be interested. They came off my 690 so should be a direct fit. I also have some doubletree trail mirrors but they are a bit small for the road and I didn't like looking down to see behind me

I’d be tempted if they did away with the 6000 mile valve checks.

I thought I read on the ADV Rider thread or saw on a YT vid. The checks decrease with more miles. Say it goes to every 12K or something weird.

TAKE THAT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT..........................I can say 100% any of that is true

Whenever I see short valve intervals I think about my YFZ450 atv... supposed to be at 20 hours, and then pretty much every other oil change... I ran the crap outta that thing for years and never touched them. Folks I talked to said not to worry about it unless it started getting hard to start. :notsure:

Might not be that big of a deal after the first check or two. Once you have an idea of how it's wearing you m8ght be able to extend it.

The Rally will be my first bike that I knew about valve checks. If any others needed it, I never did it. Every bike I've had prior was oil change. chain maintenance, and then just ride. Granted the previous street legal bikes only got a few thousand miles put on each one.

Yeah, the double takes are stupid expensive. I don't want to pay that again.

I do like that those don't have the giant ball arm in the middle section and are a little more svelte. I saw that picture and the round mirror clicked and I realized I still have my stock grom mirrors that actually aren't too far off, looks-wise, from those. I think I'm actually going to dig those out and see how ridiculous they look and go from there. They aren't "folding" but they'll fold once at least I suppose haha

Aaaah, I didn't think about that. I've never bought an off road only rig from out of state. Even the one SxS I got out of state was street legal. The off toad one was in state.

Ye now the fun thing is how easy it is to plate an off-road bike here! Legit went in and told them it's been converted but don't wanna plate it today what do I need? Oh nothing just being the cert origin and I'll swap it to be street legal and give you plates. Like sweet lol

Nice! i saw that. really want to go but I'm holding off on any purchases for now while I wait to find out about my restricted license. IDK if you know, is it a new track layout? Or are they refreshing/repaving? Hoping for the latter if not both...for obvious reasons :anonymous:

Went in and paid the $500 ticket and provided the traffic school certificate this morning. Clerk was shocked that I paid it so early, said most people wait until the last day.

Dude, this is a completely new SCCA level racing circuit on the same property! It looks like a pretty sick layout and, from what I read, there's also a bit of elevation change.
