after seeing some pics via pm Juans, it wasnt done with a westcott lift...
some local San Diego dealers like Temecula Toyota transport their trucks to Arizona & has westcott actually installs the lift, roof racks, etc...
Also out here, some dealers utilize Offroad Warehouse, 4Wheel Parts, etc which are offroad shops & they will install various lifts,
Westcott being one of them, but more times than not when ive inspected a dealer lifted truck, they have been a readylift spacer lift.

Toyota dealers that sell new lifted trucks, dealer isn't actually doing the lift.
They dont want the liability so they outsource to shops that lift trucks on a regular basis.
Even if it is a simple spacer lift, pre-collar lift, etc...
Well, that's what ive witnessed & experience on my side of the US....

yes, I do, without a doubt, 500% do.........

For the record, I was comparing / commenting about the previous gen.....
A single cab 95 is pretty sweet for what it was, but let's be realistic here. good luck finding a cherry......

That is such an immature ignorant response. Even if you don't appreciate his input or understand why he is here, doesnt mean he can't afford one. Its a $50k truck, not a $100k HD and a Toyota, they finance anyone with a 650 FICO.

Agreed.. I didn’t contribute much with that post.

But yeah, it’s gets old seeing all the troll and trash comments about the gen4’s and how stupid people are for buying them, and spending hard earned cash on mods. Opinions are welcome and they go both ways. And out of ALL the shit posts on this forum you decide I’m the immature ignorant one:crazy:. FICO

In that response yes, I’ve seen you use it before I believe. And I get it’s old but at the end of the day who cares? You’re happy with your truck they are with theirs ignore and move on. This isn’t even half as bad as when the 3rd gen dropped. And yes some of it is childish. FICO as in credit score.

New to me, but some probably will as ive got no reason to think your knowledge is bs.
Im in so cal also, east county...
personally know 3 dealers that have outsourced lifts & dealer was clueless on what lift was actually installed...
Dealer made me aware on who did the lift for them.
Had to reach out to ORW, 4 wheel parts to figure out what was actually on the truck,
In these situations, they were all ready lifts.

I guess I should have put a trigger warning on my post
Can't we all just poke fun at each other's trucks? It's tacomaworld.....
Never thought an unpunctuated one liner that took me .5 seconds to type on my phone would get under someones skin that they're still talking about it days later
3rd gens got shat on for years...maybe toughen up a bit lol

And yes I do really think the harder, "tougher" angles that Toyota molded into the body panels of the plastic computer-on-wheels known as the 4th gen look like they are trying to make up for it being another iteration further away from the simple, elegant, bulletproof 1st gens. We all have our own opinions, and I happen to prefer the older trucks, I wasn't trolling...

I had to throw like $10k in mods at my 3rd gen before I liked the look. I wanted a 1st gen but in 2019 they were almost as expensive with 100k miles vs buying a new 3rd gen truck. But now that mine is all modded, no way am I going to trade it in for a new truck, even if I loved the look of the 4th gens.

Anyway, back to the lifts and spec's, let's see some tacos!

Not sure why this 1'st gen keeps coming up, a truck if you found one will be beat to fuck & cost a fortune to obtain.....
Ide like another 1972 Datsun 240z for $3500, but I dont keep bringing that up, talk about a price gouging unicorn....

Michael's Toyota in Bellevue Washington uses the Westcott lifts, full warranty, installed right at the dealer. It does happen.

Is that needle bearing still an issue with the 4th Gens?

Yes, It’s unfortunately one of a few things carried over from the previous gen.

You do realize the difference right? You tried to claim anyone that didnt own a 4th gen can't afford one, that is ignorant. But ya both posts are kind of immature, but get it when you love what you got, f**k em.
