The angle you posted OZ, isn't that good. I just saw one posted on the King's website, and it shows the hit to the head more clearly, by Stoll. I agree it was directed at the head, whether intentionally or not, it looks much worse from the new angle I saw on the King's site. If you want to watch it, its on the Kings site, video is called Stoll and Demers Hits from Game 1. Don't know how to link that here.

Btw, I was wondering your honest opinion on Demer's 'hit' on Smyth, because you know a lot about hockey. Shouldn't there have been a suspension for it? Launching yourself, 3 feet in the air, onto another player and putting elbow to Ryan Smyth's head. Or is it because Ryan Smyth was able to walk it off that it'll slide, and due to White's injury, Stoll's hit got more attention?

Yup and I still stand by that mentality. I was wondering if it violated anything, because I had never seen a hit like that before. I will give him credit for that being a beast of a hit nonetheless.

 

Pretty sure leaveing your feet is a no go. I really think Demers hit wasn't as bad BUT suprised it didn't get called.

Honestly its been discussed to death already. I see where you are coming from on the hit, and as a Sharks fan I don't expect you to be happy about it and all. As a Kings fan I find Demers hit more brutal in that he did it with intent to injur (and you can't deny that). Stoll, as it appears to me is checking someone who's head is too low and unfortunately placed right where the glass meets the boards.I've seen him make a similar move every game when he plays the man along the boards. It seems to me like an honest mistake, while Demers isn't. No replay will change my mind on that. Anyway, let's stop talking about game 1 and get ready for game 2!! Let's hope its as exciting!
