I think the turbo works pretty good as is, but could it be better?

It would be nice to know the specs on this turbo.

Is it a ball bearing or a bushing turbo?

What size is the compressor wheel?

What size is the A/R housing?

What is the maximum boost this turbo can make?

Can the compressor housing be changed?

The computer allows 15psi, but will it make 20?

How can we fool the computer so it keeps boosting?

What does the computer do when it senses its max boost? Does it defuel or just open a wastegate?

35k warranties are about to be expiring....

Talking about putting a larger Turbo and tunning the Tacoma 2.4. Would it be possible to out perform a stock Tundra 3.5 twin turbo?

I doubt it not horse power and torque at the drive wheels. I could be completely wrong I just don't know.

I'd like to see a built 2.4t in a Tacoma that makes crazy power. If it can't match the stock Tundra, what would be the point?

350hp should be easy even with the stock turbo

From what I've seen it already does. stock tundra makes ~320/370 and Tacoma with just a Tune makes ~300/350

Question for the turbo guys, I have a 2025 model and I'm still under 1000km but this turbo screams and whistles like a jet engine. Anyone else hear the turbo even down at idle?

    Where are my tuners at?!
Can we get an Ecutec on here and start messing with stuff?!

Can we get the Hybrid assist to fire up in conjunction with upping boost for acceleration? Does the computer modulate that together? Does it scale?
Do we need to start stealing programming from F1 cars?

    https://www.toyota-industries.com/products/automobile/engine/turbocharger/index.html

There's the turbo about halfway down the page.

Are there any bolt-ons for our 2.4 yet? I haven't seen anything.

Other than the fact that it's still in beta ("not done" and, more importantly, "not fully tested") and that it's definitely grounds for denying you warranty coverage on your engine and possibly other drivetrain parts, I wonder the same thing. Burger's not exactly new at this.

Yeah, I was just genuinely asking since I was leaning towards it. I haven't flashed anything other then a few Duramax's back in the day. From what I've read since it's a piggyback it "should" be undetectable and can control everything from my phone. Where with OTT I'd have to drive 3hrs for someone else time or spend almost double the cost on all the equipment and license to do it myself, and I'm pretty sure like all other manufacturers Toyota probably flags every flash.

I read a bunch of reviews across reddit and other manufacturers forums and everyone seems to recommend it. Only one instance I found from I think VW forums where a guy threw a fuel parameter flag, but the poster said he was running a different piggyback before the burger and then burger tuner replied, and they don't edit specific those parameters for that same reason.

I’ve owned a 2023 tundra for 18 months.. The 2024 Tacoma 2.4L drives much better than the 3.4L Tundra.. There is much more turbo lag in the Tundra and the gas mileage is not great. I’ve been impressed with the tacomas mpg

With our flashing method/software, it will not trigger/flag a flashing event.

On a calibration that can run Regular-Premium fuel.

The JB4 requires premium fuel. Does not have transmission tuning either.
