Not very attractive but another batch of the high protein, low sugar ice cream. This time using a chocolate peanut butter powdered protein mix from Aldi.

It's pretty darn good but I think some of the low sugar dark chocolate peanut butter cups would have made it amazing. Next time!

Even easier than last time. I mixed up the powder according to the directions (2 scoops and 16 ounces of water) for making a shake then just dumped it into the Creami. It did come out a bit icy but I also didn't spin it twice with a splash of milk, which would have helped. I'm thinking about going half water/half milk next time, too.

I don't know if you've tried store bought keto ice cream but it's horrible. The product this thing produces with no special ingredients (like xantham gum, for example) are impressive.

Most things store bought gluten free are terrible and the few keto items we’ve tried are horrendous. We don’t have a Creami, but I’m sure I can trial-n-error loads of ice cream in my Vitamix ;)

so I love salmon!! prices are kinda high these days. I get it.

thankfully, at my fish mongers place, the odd bit are not big money. enter the juiciest section of salmon ever. tender, rich and oily mouth feel, hyper salmon flavor, and no real bones!! the SALMON COLLAR! a byproduct of taking off the fillets for the masses. hahah..

    miso glazed and grilled...BOOM!

We have friends in Ketchikan who guide. The send us the “upper cuts” all the time. I will say that Halibut cheeks are my favorite. Nothing else beats it!

Pretty common practice. My friend used a Rossi 410 at point blank range on anything 90lbs or more. Our last trip we brought in over 600 lbs of Halibut. Most were 70-80 pounders but one of our guys hooked into a 145 pounder that took an hour and 45 minutes to get into the boat. He thrashed pretty good until we pulled the trigger. Other guys will lash them to side of boat and slit gills. But even then they can cause serious damage to the boat.

    That is hoisin.

As for furikake, I completely forgot this was in the fridge.

I took a little taste of it and, not being a fan of seaweed, the flavor isn't my thing. Having a best before date of 07302020 probably isn't doing it any favors.
