Itd probably damage the bead imo. That bicycle tire in the video could have been put on by hand

If they ever increase the service intervals....I'd at least look at one.

What about using plastic covered thin steel cable instead. Go slow, lots of tire lube, the thin cable would distort the bead a lot less than a rope would

Went out on the Harley for about 10 miles after getting all the maintenance stuff done.
Carb clean and rebuild, brake fluid flush, new tires, new shocks, new windshield, clean fuel tanks, new fuel lines, new seat, new grips and mirrors.
After I got back did a three hole oil change. Bike runs good but is a bit rich. Ordered a jet kit and will get it dialed in.

I just ordered this. I've left my aux lights on on the BMW twice in the last month and figured it was finally time to wire them to a relay instead of a switch. RMATVMC had it in a build video the other month and it looks pretty slick. 3 relay controlled pig tails for up to 10a each/15a total for $35. Much cheaper than other options out there.

Thanks for the push over. Seen the email about it the other day and thought, hmm.

Just purchased along with a few other things.

I was going to say it looks like a big bike track with all the straights. The runoffs and walls are also super scary... not sure I'd want to try it out.

I got the Gerbing heated jacket liner and gloves all set up and tried it out today. HOLY CRAP it is warm! The Aerostich jacket I have is nowhere as warm as the liner and the gloves are SO toasty. I can't wait to try this out in colder weather.

Yeah but they're short. Big bike never gets out of 1/2/3 gears

that’s a pretty thorough ‘maintenance’ day. I’m not a Harley guy, so not at all sure what I’m looking at- what year/motor is that that it’s running a pair of carburetors?

    Nice job.

Like most Harley v-twins that's a single carb. Photo looks like someone swapped out the original Keihin 40mm CV carb for an S&S carb.

I've got a question for you guys. I painted some of my plastics semi-gloss or matte(can't remember) white. I then bought the CRF300LS rear panels along with fork guards in the factory glossy white. I can get a CRF250L in factory white, but the damn thing is $90.

I'm pretty certain I'm gonna end up trading the Rally for a 450 Himalayan.

Should I just buy the front fender and throw the other white panels on and leave the "Africa Single" sticker kit on the fairings that way it'd be glossy like factory? No one makes white fairings, so those either keep the stickers or have to be painted white.

If I decide to paint the fairings, can the same glossy finish be matched?

I'd leave it as is. If you're trading it in toward a Himalayan I doubt any new money you put into it will garner an equal return on trade in price.

    No doubt you're right
I just kinda feel like I need to "clean it up" before trading.

Give it a good hand washing and detail before trading in. Most a dealer is going to do is book value anyway. When I worked at a dealership customers always pointed out all of the accessories they'd added and upgrades. It rarely increased the trade in value by any serious amount. That stuff really only helps if the next customer wants the same stuff that you liked. It can happen but is the dealer going to give you more money if they aren't promised they'll profit from it on the resale.
