Oof I forgot how much money I saved doing work myself... The list above more or less is drilling a $5k hole in my wallet, but hey that's the price of piece of mind that will come knowing that it's been looked over and had a lot of the maintenance Items reset to zero. In fact the shop called and first thing they said was I have a cream puff, he couldn't believe the condition under the van, not a single leak. So that's nice I guess  hope to get it back next week after they custom fan the new tank straps.

That's true. And the repair cost vs vehicle value ratio is far better than anything to the truck lol. I'm really looking forward to the new exhaust and having it have a throaty sound worth some turbo noises. The rest is boring work but like I said, should reset the timer on a lot of things and make it reliable for the next few years. Plus it's good to have real mechanics give it a clean bill of health vs me just thinking it's good.

I hope you don't regret that move. Seems like it could be annoying on the highway or whenever you have to idle it potentially. will see!

We will find out! And I can fix it down the road too. I was just tired of all clatter, no throat and barely any hint of turbo sound.

Yeah could be cool for sure. But might remove some of the luxury of the experience too depending haha

That's a good point, I know that listening to the roof and dishes rattle around might be spoiled by a bit of drone

Sounds like it needs a sound system more than it needs an exhaust. Diesel noises aren't any fun anyway

It would be nice to add SiriusXM to it one day to have music in the boonies. For now it's radio and CD's.

Meh I'm a fan of diesel noises. Especially old Detroit 2-strokes ...

That's 100% fair, those make good noises. Loud as fuck and slower than shit, sounds like you're going on the 1/4mi pass of a lifetime just to reach 35mph.

Used to love the sound of a straight pipe Cummins back in HS. Now I much prefer not hearing a dang thing while driving my diesel. How times change

Well you probably don't have to worry about the height part at least

There is a part of you that never grows up and then there is the practical side of your brain that will win on certain things

Can't have a hairline if you don't have any hair, that's why I shave.
