As far as I know, it DOES come with the screws for attaching those things?

I haven't done a count of anything as I was going to assemble it once I had everything on-hand and follow his instructional video.

I'm aware it comes with hardware, just not the hardware for adding your links, shocks, etc.

No screws, just nuts. No problem. The two packs of Injora links have plenty of leftover 1.2mm screws and I have a box of assorted in the 2mm and up sizes.
I am curious to see if yours came with the screws. If so, I'll drop a note to Mazz.

I can take a picture for you once the kid wakes up (opening the garage door does an audible alert and my kid hears it)

But yeah I remember a small baggie with hardware being inside the box.

Hardware bag I was sent has nuts and like 6 magnets for the body.
quick count shows minimum of 16 screws needed for the skid (4) sliders (4) and two supports that take 4 each. Sliders will also use 4 of the supplied nuts. The others are threaded into the plastic.
The shock tower mounts would use the screws included with the shocks that are purchased, and even those supports would need 2 more screws added to keep them straight.
So around 20 m1.2 are needed. I do have those with the parts I purchased separately.
Length is another question, I can only make them shorter..:notsure: But I think they will be fine.

    Well fuck me, I'm blind.

I don't have any either. Just nuts, so yeah I guess I misunderstood what all I was buying.

    Research from Mazz site says
m1.4 screws, not m1.2, my bad. I have those, 10mm is the longest I have, bummer.

    for links to skid
    4-m1.4 x 12mm
    Sliders to skid
    4-m1.4 x 10mm
Shock screws are unknown, they need to pass through the ball, spacer if used, CF plate and into the plastic far enough to hold.
I need 4 freaking screws to start this. :rofl:hoping if I dig enough I might find them in the heli bin.

    Did ya watch his video?

Granted it's two years old, I'd guess that the information is still relevant especially when talking about the skid.

He states a specific length screw for the front, and a different length for the rear, and the lengths for his other 3D printed parts I think.

    .
Just watched it. Some of that is definitely for the v2. The two different lengths he talks about for the motor/tranny to skid mount appears to be for the 10 degree skid. I ordered that separate, it came in it's own bag and has that taper to it.
The 15 degree skid is flat, so I would assume the shorter 6mm screws are used, instead of a 6-8 combo.
The sliders attach different as well. They appear to screw directly to the skid plate thru the CF, no nuts.

I haven't opened my baggie up.

If you run two equal length screws, you're saying the same amount of thread will protrude through the other end?

I don't even know how much engagement is required for any of these transmissions

He's talking about the two screws that go up from the bottom thru the skid into the transmission. On the 10 degree tapered skid, the thin side apparently has an issue with interference with a longer screw.
The 15 degree skid is flat, both ends are thin. Use your best judgement when running them in and make sure things spin is all I can suggest.

I figured that's pretty much what's going to happen.

Gonna sit at the table with all my parts laid out and assemble while chugging a few and some good tunes in the background.

Speaking of assembly, wheels and hexes definitely aren't showing up today :playball:

    @Strictlytoyz
    @Deathbysnusnu

Are we the only 3 all building up a 1/24 from scratch?

We need to find someone else to sucker convince to join us and do a build as well. Using the same chassis just different parts and body.

So.....since I really started following and reading this thread, outside of being on TW and saying to others that "TW is bad for your Wallet,"........let me just say that this thread puts a supercharger on that statement lol. So what i am go to do is show you pics of my local hobby shop.

Obviously all of you are spread out throughout the US but if you ever get a chance to come out my way, you need to stop in Enfield CT and go to RCMadness. @Roody it is well worth the trip for you for the day. It has been in business for almost 40 years and has held national races for Mini's , 1/8 scale nitro's and crawling championships. They have 4 indoor tracks, 3 outdoor tracks, and an outdoor dirt ramp "bashing" area for doing multiple tricks. They have Arrma grom nascar leagues, mini B leagues, Crawling leagues, and open racing every night. All races are streamed via Youtube nightly. All races timed by transponder for awards and placement.

To use any of the tracks for the day it is only a $10 charge and you will need to purchase a transponder or bring in your own since all track times are monitored for placement times.

They also have over 20 different RC vehicles from mild to wild (2S to 8S) to rent ($25/hour) for the day so you can try before you by or just a place to take your kid before you get them into it to see if they like it.

And let me first say that these pics do not do it justice.

Indoor track 1. (Mini crawling track)

    20250117_154740.jpg

Indoor Track 2. (indoor oval for street or Nascar) that is completely modular and changes turns and sections weekly. The second pic is the pit section

    20250117_155201.jpg

    20250117_155206.jpg

Indoor carpet track 3. Leagues and open racing happens here and all of the jumps and modular and can be raised, lowered, or moved. Second pic is the pit sections all with lighting and electricity for charging.

    20250117_155219.jpg

    And their best indoor track,
    Indoor track 4
. Their indoor award winning crawling track. (So big and intricate, i had to take multiple pictures.....3 different floors, with bridges, waterfalls, and the entire track is connected)

    20250117_154804.jpg

Now we move onto their outdoor tracks

    Outdoor Track 1. Outdoor carpet

    20250117_155328.jpg

Outdoor track 2. Dirt racing 1/10th to 1/8th scale racing (electric and nitro) has held a number of National races

Outdoor track 3. For "Bashing" and trick events

    20250117_155407(0).jpg

And Last but certainly not least:
    Outdoor track 4
Their ABSOLUTELY HUGE outdoor championship crawling course.

I didn't know what others were working with regarding tracks to go to outside of ones we make ourselves. Just showing what is out near me.
