If it deforms I'll use an online printing service or just shell out $200 for the actual machine torch.

I can print you a set in some engineering materials if you wanted, parts like that are pretty quick usually. From PAHT-CF & PET-CF

Just got a new dryer system too for my filaments, dryer 4 at a time and has a automatic mode that starts drying filament if the humidity goes over a set amount.

Are you able to print Ultem 1010? I have a backpacking pot lid, that I printed in PTEG, but it was not heat resistant enough. Curious to see about Polycarbonate too. Do you print either of these materials?

1010 bed temp is a issue since my current machines can't high enough for it. Idk if 3d priting a lid would be idea for long term use since a lot of the materials aren't food safe and get things stuck between the print layers.

Very jealous. Microcenter? I ordered mine on Jan 3rd and am still waiting. Hoping it'll ship on the 22nd, according to BBL. Every post on the reddit sub complaining about shipping waits is met with a "just buy it at microcenter they had ten in stock". Unfortunately my closest one is a casual 1150 miles away :pout:

I looked around and wasn't able to find any (reputable) place that had them in stock. Took a chance on Dynamism (https://www.dynamism.com/bambu-lab-p1s-combo.html) and they have them in stock. Placed the order on 1/13 and just got the unit today. Got everything set up and am printing now.

Really impressed by the accuracy of 3D printing, especially since I measured this out within 0.1" with my calipers.

I didn't print it out, @Speedytech7 did for me as I just created the drawing.

I went from literally nothing (no computer, no monitor, no printer etc) and am roughly $1200 into it. I did get a refurbished laptop and open box monitor since they will be dedicated for printing. Didn't need anything too fancy. Pretty nice to be able to unbox and start printing right off the bat though.

I'm enjoying it so far. Starting to play with multi-colored models. The AMS is pretty slick for that, but learning how to set them up to avoid waste due to flushing new colors in. Printed this build plate holder and a bunch of other test items since last night.

Anyone go from no enclosure to using an enclosure? I've been printing all weekend with no issues. Trying a more spread out print to the corners of my bed show some lifting at the corners. I've tried cleaning and auto leveling right before the print, but always seems the corners start to lift. Would an enclosure help?
    I'm using a creality ender v3 se

The enclosure fixed most of my weird printing immediately on my Ender 3. What filament and end/bed temps did you try? Also the creality slicer for some reason likes to turn off first and second layer cooling with PLA and you absolutely can't do that it gets too hot and it lifts.

im using PLA. i can double check settings when i get home, but pretty sure my print speed is 50 mm/s with first layer at 30. temp is 200 F with first layer at 205F. Bed temp is around 60 with first layer at 65.

i thought adjusting the first layer would help bed adhesion, but i guess not as much as i hoped.

Hello fellow Taco enthusiast, just acquired my 3rd Tacoma after 4 years in SUV's and sedans and realization that I'm just a pickup guy LOL. After lurking for years finally decided to post something helpful, practical and almost free. Design is not mine just found it by researching the available 3D prints for Tacos. I have to say it's pretty durable and giving me the option to attach my pop socket holder.

Are you using a brim? I'll get lifting if I don't use a brim, and sometimes that brim has t o be quite wide depending on the part.

    no, no brim.

i printed a few of these parts before with no problem, but only like 2 at a time. i tried maximizing my bed space and wanted to print more at once to let it run through the night. thats when i ran into lifting issues.

the enclosure got delivered today. i'll have some time right after work to get it setup. if that doesn't do the trick, i'll try cleaning or changing print settings. i have some plans to do some bigger prints so bed adhesion will be critical for those.
