Chuck: TY for your insight. I have watched more than one YouTube vid on knee replacement. My brother had one knee done back in October and I value his thoughts the most but I realize he is 12 years younger than I am.

WOW! Your follow up post explaines a lot about the cost. TY for that post. Hope the mouth is not too sore today.

Man, that looks great, and I was looking for a different way to cook up some shrimp. Did you stir them with a spoon during the cook? What did you marinade the shrimp in before going on the BarBee? TY for posting the pic.

Good morning. Off to the gym then on to a little grocery store shopping for some fresh veggies. Going to smoke a turkey breast today for dinner.

I would like to add a comment about the Medical Industry. There are scum bags in any profession, IE sales people. You are the best advocate for your own health, and it is difficult and time consuming. Remember, they “Practice Medicine “ , and things/ outcomes have improved significantly in my 67 years. I hope everyone stays healthy, wealthy and wise .

Agreed! I'm thinking maybe on the cusp of 68 I'm not yet old enough to have learned to distrust medical and dental professionals. Are the prices high? Yup. Is the care I've received first rate? Yup again. Have I needed to shop around a time or two before I found the right fit for medical, dental, legal, or any other type of service? Yup for a third time.

I will say this, over the years I have developed a fairly refined BS-O'Meter which encourages me to take a hike pretty quickly.

She told me my mouth would probably be sore today, but she was wrong, it's almost as if it didn't happen; the only thing I feel is the temporary crown is a bit high so I can't quite bite like normal. I will definitely be keeping her as my dentist, and the fact she's really easy on the eyes certainly doesn't change that sentiment. :)

    Good morning all. :pccoffee:

That hillside fire in San Marcos was the Cocos Fire...we were living in Vista at the time. I've lived all over N. County San Diego...grew up in Leucadia on the coast, bought my first house in SD in San Marcos, just below Double Peak foothills...had a condo in Escondido after the first chapter of my life closed...and now we live in Arizona after all that. I actually worked at the Home Depot off of Mission, store #1018 for a couple of years...beautiful area all around there in Oceanside.

Don't miss the traffic for sure. My non screen name is John...nice to virtually meet ya' :)

I love my Cardiologist, ex Air Force doctor. Tells it straight up, drink 8 glasses a water every day, and walk a mile every day, or you can make my next boat payment. Best blood pressure medicine out there, water and walking

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/toothies. We've used the same dentist for the past 30 years. She's retiring and sold her practice to a new woman, who I have yet to meet. I have a lot of trust in our dentist and I am using that as the basis for trusting the new folks. I'm told that the entire staff is staying on, good sign #1. And I know Dr. Donna would be extremely careful selecting who will take over her business. I'm calling that good sign #2.

When I was a child I had cavities every time I went to the dentist; soft teeth inherited from my mom, who had dentures at age 20. It got to the point where I hated going to the dentist because it was always a long, painful ordeal. When I got old enough to make my own decisions I stopped going. Fast forward about 15 years, I figured it was time to "man up" and go back. No cavities! The dentist told me that it happens a lot; adults stop getting cavities. Lucky me I guess. I also have all of my wisdom teeth, which I didn't even feel come in unlike a bunch of my contemporaries. They're a real bear to brush.

Today we have a house cleaning team in for the first time since we've lived here. Four women running around in top gear, doing what they calling a "deep clean". Plus Carol running around too, trying to stay one step ahead of them. I'm getting ready to go hide in the garage!

Man that is really nice to have close by. I visited the market in 1989 and wished we had the same thing close by.

@1buzzbait I believe my brother is still in PT but maybe just once a week now. He no longer needs a cane.

Back from the gym, gassing up the wife's car and grocery shopping so it is on to other chores.

The market? Bellingham Farmers market or ???

Most communities have a farmers market. The best thing that came from the hippy movement.:thumbsup::spending:

Smart doctor. There is no better exercise than daily walking. You can do other exercise too but walking does sooo much. Not only is it great for the entire body but also good mentally, can relieve anxiety and depression. And staying adequately hydrated is also key. Many benefits from cardiovascular system, lowering blood pressure, great for your kidneys , brain, joints etc. 2 doctors that I have breakfast with every week both say the key to growing old and staying healthy is to keep moving (walking) and drink plenty of water, 2 quarts or so a day. Other things you can do too but walking and water are the foundation.
