    The shorter/darker days definitely add to the problem

    Also because you lived in AZ - once a human adjusts to a warmer temperature, it is really difficult to get your body to adjust back to the cold

    My mom lived on Guam as a kid and until we moved to FL, she incessantly bitched about how everywhere was fucking cold

    I keep telling him!!

    @World2405 you gotta get one!!
    Keeps you all nice and toasty so you don't freeze on your bathroom runs
    Also, you sleep much better in a nice warm bed and cold ass room. Seems like keeping the room cold is the default, time to make sure your bed is toasty AF!

    Yeah I am not sure if it “set in” at an age or not, but I do recall having freezing fingers as a kid/younger adult, even with giant gloves, so it’s possible it’s just always been there.

    It’s crazy though, it’s hard to get across to people how it can be, what, 60-70 and sunny…and bam! And yet I can be out snowblowing or shoveling bare handed in 15 degree weather and be fine, although that I kind of get as it’s kind of physically active in the arm region…but I’d even have it happen at times just riding my bike to the beach when I was in SoCal if it was anything other than hot out.

    Ever try the heated gloves? I thought that would be an absolute game changer and gave a couple kinds a whirl, but I’ve still yet to find a better solution than mittens..

    Yeah, I can grab an iced drink in the heat of summer sometimes a few fingers will react. Super embarrassing at a brewery or restaurant because it's the last thing you want someone to notice:anonymous:

    I do have the heated gloves and socks but I only use those when I plan on playing in the snow, not just existing, though I am a quality glove hoarder. I also keep those rechargeable hand warmers in my truck and purse, though if I need them then I just turn them on and chuck them in my pockets to grab onto when I need them.

    Next time you find it happening, try doing some full hand/finger stretches to shake it out and see if it helps any.

    But I get what you mean and that there's no rhyme or reason sometimes. I love my hands in cold water and drinking the coldest of ice water, and can enjoy ending a shower cold...but at the same time I can also just step foot on a cold ground and just lose feeling in a few toes for like a half hour looking like little morgue toes :annoyed:

    No one enjoys that :mad:
