Yeah that’s not going to hold up to any real abuse and bend as soon as you put a rock on it.

Don’t take it wrong. Our suggestion simply says it won’t hold to the abuse even if the abuse is not intentional. The concept/idea is great. We’re not experts here, most of us seem a thing or two and just providing information on how to improve.

Absolutely, never was the goal to be a lift point to be structurally bomb proof. since the transfer gets moved some inches back there’s more room for shit to catch. been rocking that design since I converted 4x4 and has skidded on some rocks with no issues. Keep you guys posted after some JV rocks.

Heres my skid situation, rarely hit it now that it is tucked up, but welded to the new tranny crossmember with a few braces and removable skids.

i once air down to 2psi and was the worst experience. Made it feel like I was on 33 and dragged my axle over everything. The ATF didn’t like it as well, cause temp got upwards of 220 when it’s typically 180 or under.

Atlas offers an adaptor plate for a 2nd gen manual 6 speed. I called Atlas to ask about fitment to my 5sp tranny but they just told me the part is for a 6 speed. So sort of a non-answer...

Does anyone know what the difference is or if it could (be made to) be compatible?

They know what you need, just tell them the application and they'll give you the right one.

For my A340F, this is what they sent, not sure if the A750 has the same bolt up pattern:

I must have not worded my question right. Or can't interpret their answer. o_O
    I wrote:
    "Hi Advance Adapters,

I can't seem to match my 2nd gen 4cyl 5spd manual to your fitment chart.

But I am still hoping there is a product for my application.

It's a regular cab/6' bed and has the stock electric transfer case.

Is there other information I could provide to determine compatibility?

    Thanks in advance!"

    They said:
"Thanks for the inquiry. We offer any adapter for the 2.7 manual transmissions but it is coming up as a 6 six speed"

I wrote back something about (my) doing more research.

I saw the 6 speed adaptor in the fitment chart.
    I said I have a 5 speed.
Are they saying there is no difference? Then why specify the number of gears at all- it would just be a 2nd gen manual adapter, right? Or that there is a difference and obviously it doesn't fit?

Are they telling me to piss off and figure it out??

I suppose I should just ask them the same question again...

Starting to feel even dumber, lol!

i want to say the 5speed and the auto shold be the same. the only difference with the 6spd is the trans output shaft is different.

I see, that is confusing, I think they are saying is shows up as a 6 speed in their system, not that it won't necessarily fit. Call and talk to Vic, he'll get you straightened out.
