It definitely goes over speed bumps better than stock OR suspension

As for the Dobinsons remarks.. There’s not much options available if you’re wanting to carry 200lbs on your front end. Dobinsons the most budget friendly option

have any pics of the truck with the front in the tallest position?
you still have rake & as stated, rear is loaded...

dont be afraid if the front is a fuzz higher than the rear, it will look great...
These trucks & their height angles are tricky...
Even if the front was higher than the back...
If you look at it from the rear looking forward, the rear will still look higher...
Thats why I state a little compensation isn't going to ruin the look...

You need at least 2.5" to level these trucks.

Per included instructions. Top clip is for added weight suspension.

… I installed it on the 3rd notch. So,
No I do not have pics of the truck in top clip.

I think it looks great at 3rd clip. It raises it about 1.5” I’d say. The rear does compress a little with my 300lb decked system, it probably squats almost an inch.
    Not even I’d say.

Damn I really regret not buying the rear resi shocks.

I think I gotta get some UCAs. I don’t have to but gonna shop for them. Eyeing the JBAs.. I’ve never had them before but have had SPCs and Icon tubular with delta joint in the past.

Had 2 diff guys at same alignment shop tweak it and caster is -6 on driver side. Drives fine.

This is decked drawers, prob 100lbs of tools, and a 1/4 yard of gravel on the stock rear with timbren bump stops. It rides like ass and hits the stops on anything in the road.

I’m retarded man… I’m gonna order the higher rated rear springs (500lbs - 1” rear lift).

If I had to do it all over, I’d get the rear resi shocks and the rear springs and some jba uca

Thanks for being the test pilot for the Eibach's and your feedback.
I have a Sport Premium and the suspension is great for the highway or rounded off and shallow potholes.
Anything jarring like washboard or potholes the Hitachi shocks are jarring and ride like crap.

I've been talking to and considering Dobinson's (non resi). I've run Elka on both quads and my 2021 Sport Tundra. Very well constructed and engineered shocks that made a very significant difference in both on or offroad ride and handling. I had the Elka's set at 1 3/4".

The compression and rebound dampening/valving were perfect on the Elka's but they've gone up and price and have limited options for the 4th gen Tacoma at this point.
Hoping I can find a review or feedback from anyone with a 4th gen that is running the Dobinson's IMS kit.

    Are the
How close are the Timbren rear bumps from contacting the frame with no load and do they limit the suspension compression in any way compared to factory?

I was talking to Dobinson and they told me their shock bodies are machined aluminum.

Must depend on the version, mine sure weren't. To be fair, we use a lot of salt in Michigan. The JBA UCA's were way worse off after a couple years. The powder coating on those were terrible.

Going to have to disagree with this… If you hold both shock coil assemblies next to each other.. It’s a massive difference in body diameter and weight. It is a much superior product compared to a factory red OR strut assembly. Dobinsons IMS and this Eibach kit are probably the best bang for your buck suspension kits at the moment. All the other kits are overpriced

That's good to know. I only had the twin tube yellows on the 4Runner.

I get my Dobinsons MRR kit installed in March. I’ll do a write up on it on here for sure. It’s the entire kit, lower/upper links, panhard bar etc. I’m chomping at the bit waiting… can’t wait to get rid of the stock suspension.

What are you gonna do for UCAs?

I’m looking at Icons or JBAs… I don’t want to spend over a thousand

I went with JBAs. I’ve read too many delta and uniball joints failing on people and needing early replacements. I live in the PNW where wet gross road debris would wreak havoc on uniballs. Haven’t heard or read much of disappointments with JBAs. In fact most forums and YouTube videos I watched/read had people switching to JBAs from said other ucas. The cost sealed the deal for me. I don’t mind grabbing a grease pump and some cheap grease to maintain the JBAs myself.

    Little update.

Got the HD rear coils on and basic shocks. Lift heights are as stated. This is a great product for the price and made in the USA.

Rides much better than the factory red bilsteins. It’s not sportier, it just handles bumps better. You can fly over bumps and curbs more comfortably. That rear coils handle payload easier.

Now I just need to buy/install JBA UCAs
