Crazy prices for a few very rare cars

A 1969 Gulf Porsche 917K race car bidding just stopped at $25 million

Yeah, that was an epic trip. Work on a 60 year old jeep that hasn't been driven in 20, head out on the adventure and get 100 miles from home when the rods start knocking. Pewe: "No worries, I have another engine on a trailer that hasn't run in 30 years. Everything will be fine" Do an engine swap in the driveway and have the trip of a lifetime. Just. F-N. Awesome.

I'm curious to hear if Pewe made it home in 1 piece.
Sounds like you need to take a field trip, for research purposes. :D

Didn't you ask Moose to close the door?

Back in 1996 Freiburger and Pewe were editors at 4 wheel and off road magazine and they were at a CA4WDC off road event called Panamint Valley days

Rick Pewe had that same Jeep at that event and I got to meet both him and Freiburger

its already crowded enough! I dont need anymore competition

i just decided i wanted to try something new. and its fun playing around with my new machine. i really enjoyed making my camper cover.
i made one taco yesterday and decided i wanted to do another. i've never done a zipper before but the first one turned out great. ran to the store to get more supplies, came back and got to work. not sure what i did different the 2nd time around but somehow I hit the metal stopper at the end of the zipper and broke a needle. my machine thought it still needed to travel downward so it was jamming the remaining part of the needle and all of the gears up top against the zipper. it finally errored out and stopped itself while i nearly had a panic attack - i didn't know what to do and was completely freaking out thinking i broke my new machine. so i pulled the taco out of the machine, checked that i retrieved all pieces of the broken needle, then proceeded to run through the maintenance routine to make sure nothing got hurt. i gave up after that, my nerves were shot. picked back up this morning and took my time trying to do the zipper.
i think i'll go back to flat stuff for a while now.
yeah but he never listens

Let’s just say no one needs to advertise, plus there are plenty of books on just about every blue ribbon trout stream in the country. But ya have to have the secret spot :spy:
