Crossing State Lines

I have a 23 TRD OR Premium with the JBL. I live in Missouri but work in Illinois. Everytime I cross the state lines my truck announces what state I'm entering over the stereo speakers. This happens whether the radio is on or off. Needless to say it's annoy.

I haven't been able to find a setting to turn this off. Is there one? Or will it stop when my free nav trial expires? Anyone have some insight? Thanks

 

i think its from your phone......is the phone linked to the radio? or could it be from sirius radio?

 

Sirius is expired and it "announces my arrival" whether I'm connected to android audio or not

Agree, it's annoying if you live on a state line.

 

According to the app it looks like my nav trial is good for another 2yrs... man, I hope I can find a solution b4 then.

 

This is from rav4 forum but I wonder if it applies to your nav system

Menu > Setup > Navigation > Detailed Navi. Settings > State Border Guidance

@RIX TUX those charges were dropped. Apparently, the "stolen" blow up dolls I was transporting were below the $$$ value for a felony.

 

I have farted hundreds of times into my drivers seat and have yet to trigger a notification. I'm doing it wrong?

 

It's just the trucks way to remind you that they are tracking you.

No one needs reminding they’re entering Illinois, it’s all painfully evident as soon as one crosses the state line.

 

The only announcement that ever came over the audio in my truck was "Heavy Traffic Ahead", and that only happened once.

 

I-20 crosses MS, LA, TX, others. When you cross from MS into LA, the freeway becomes worse than off-roading. I slowed my U-Haul down to 20 MPH at spots because of the shaking. When I crossed into TX the roads became normal again.

 

It's more than just the roads that's wrong with Illinois...

 

I believe you. I do not know all that is wrong, but I trust you would share if you could without being "put on vacation".

 

My 2020 Sr5 does this too and I don't have the integrated NAV system. Google maps does this. I'm driving across the state line in to Maryland "welcome to Maryland" Driving back into Pennsylvania " Welcome Home" Big brother is watching.

 

Or lives there.

The roads immediately suck after crossing the state line
