Can I get some help identifying where the ADD Solenoids are for 4x4?

I'm in the middle of a 4x4 and 5 speed swap, trying to identify where the ADD solenoids are. I had purchased a parts truck for this but think I missed these parts when I was pulling everything. Are these the ADD solenoids in the pic? Cant find anything specifically showing these parts and where they are located. Truck I am pulling parts from was a 2004 5spd with 4x4 and push button T case with ADD diff.

Yes those are the solenoids. The reason you can't find them on your 2004 parts truck is because it has an electronic ADD actuator and those solenoids are only needed for a vacuum operated ADD solenoid. Somewhere along the way (I think 01 and up) they went away from the vacuum operated ADD and transitioned to the electronic version.

Typically people doing 4WD swaps, swap in a J-shift Tcase with manual locking hubs, to avoid having to get the ADD wiring figured out. If you're swapping in later model (electronic) ADD components into an earlier model truck the wiring could get quite interesting

I did go with the J shift xfer case, but am trying to figure out how to make the ADD work with this newer electronic shifting front diff.

Okay, then in that case it shouldn't be too bad. I'm no expert at wiring, but I'd assume the same signal that would operate the VSV that would then lead to one of those solenoids engaging/disengaging 4WD could simply be used to signal the electronic ADD actuator to do the same

If interested in sticking with ADD, take a look at this and at his thread -

Convert it over to the vacuum operated actuator. Simple to do.
