The rough country vertex reservoir coilovers are currently on sale at a significant discount....... almost a gamble worthy price.......

I was recently offered a FREE set of their UCA's and well.......
I think they ended up in a waterway of sorts.

But they look so nice! And they're adjustable! In multiple ways!

For real though I'm having a hell of a time deciding on what suspension to get. The main struggles are vanity, price, and longevity. I want the 4Runner to remain as black as possible and options are pretty limited on suspension that's lacking in color, especially when you factor in cost and if they need rebuilding. First world problems to be sure lol

    I feel your pain.
I was going to go Dobinson, in part because of the all black.
Because of my wheels I allow a tolerable amount of silver and gray.
I don't like using the term chrome. lol

Honestly I might have to just suck it up and go with something that's not black. I've been researching late into the night recently and I'm just not impressed with what I see and read with dobinsons, not to mention what I have seen personally on the forums. I know mr stoney ranger is pretty happy but still. Lots of early degradation and customer service issues. I think I'm going to have to choose between Eibach and Bilstein. I would go with the MT-64s again but they are firmly out of my price range plus if I had that much beef again I'm sure I would start driving way too damn fast off-road again lol.

I was pretty happy with them on my tundra..... I also have had very good experiences with Bilstein 6112s.....I also liked the Ironman 4x4 FCPs that I had on my frontier.....

I like where your head is at but I think we should swap the Bilstein to the front and dobinson to the rear

Curious as to what you've been reading about dobinson's and why you don't like it?

A fair few instances of premature leaking and also some rapid failure of the finish on the coils and shock body not to mention that I've seen people often say it rides pretty stiff.

The stiffness has to do with choice and valving and spring rates but premature leaking would be a high priority concern for sure

Cover it in paint or dirt. Problem solved.
