welp I did an oil and filter change and rotated my tires. 95,518 Miles on my 2011. i drive about 10,000 miles/year. i got new Revos at 75,000. been too lazy to rotate them, but i finally did today. they show a little cupping on the fronts, as expected for a 20k rotation!

oh well. at least my oil and filer intervql was 4,000 miles this time. i try for 4-5,000 miles, it really comes down to when i get to it. Sometimes 5 or 6k but it's all good.

Random question and hope to get an honest answer.

I want to rotate my tires…but not sure if rotating the spare in my swing out if something I should consider or just do the 4?

also, the tire shop I normally go to says not to rotate my tires but to buy new ones when the rears are bad and rotate the front to the rears and put the new ones in the front or put the spare up front and put one of the new ones the swing out.

That doesn’t make sense to me…anyone know the correct way to rotate mid terrain (35s) if that helps.

depends on your tread depths. It is possible to include 5th spare in to a rotate.
My swingout isn’t welded on yet so I run 4.

not sure why you are funding idiots

Dealerships do rotate every 5k. Costco includes free rotate every 5k. This has existed for a long time.
I believe tire mfg mileage warranty policies require proof of rotate maintenance.

some vehicles call for rotate every 5k oil change.

My Total Chaos UCA uniballs were on their last leg and I'm tired of the maintenance since this is my daily. I've had these Icon Delta joints on the shelf for at least a year so I decided to swap them out today. Night and day difference over the uniballs with completely destroyed liners. We'll see how they hold up

    Nothing. :(

I did develop a slight clunk in the front end. I think it's the TC upper control arm bushings.

I was at the tire shop to have some old tires removed from some wheels I am storing at my brothers and asked about possibly rotating my tires since I was there but since I was heading up to my brother’s, my original plan was to rotate them at his place. Which I ended up doing anyway but didn’t rotate the spare. I’ll do it at my next oil change

Today I went for a test drive down some muddy farm roads to diagnose my 4wd after having some difficulty with it last night. Luckily turned out to be user error, and everything is working as intended. Still, after reading numerous threads here, I decided that in the springtime (or at least during the next warm snap) I'll tear into the front diff actuator and solder the contacts on the motor.

While on my test drive my stereo lost all power, then randomly came back on 5 minutes later, so I opened up the dashboard to see what was up. Found nothing wrong, all connections tight, no signs of a short, no burn marks, no worn wires, etc. Dunno what that was all about, but I guess it could have been the unit itself.

Unsolicited river pics for good measure:

Hey everyone, im looking to put some wheels w/ -6 offset, on my 2011 taco pre-runner. I took one of the wheels to get fit tested last time i took my truck in. And the mechanic said it fits physically but isnt ideal. Said it will affect my axles over time? Any thoughts or any threads anyone can point me to where i can find more info? Also leaving a pic just in case
    Mahalo for your time

    I have not.

I guess I'm thinking if there *is* a problem with the electronics, it's localized to the dashboard; because a few weeks ago the backlight of the fan speed knob went out for a few minutes, then came back on. The zone and temp knobs stayed lit the whole time.

That offset should be fine and have no effect on your axles. Just make sure the bolt pattern and hub bore size are correct.
