    Oof...

I won't lie, when the wheels came in I was half-tempted to put them together with my tires.

Resisting the urge to assemble shit :frusty:

I find that if I let it sit too long it becomes all-consuming so I'm better off just doing it and moving on

    Awe fuuuuck that sucks!

Mine is just a $50 mistake - apparently I didn't read the fine print.

The mount I purchased is ONLY for the MR24 transmission. Yet the HD transmission has a "stock aluminum" plate so I'm assuming stock motor mounting.

Rather than dick around with figuring out a whole mount or plate or whatever, I just ordered the MR24 transmission (an upgrade technically).

Gonna fuck with this thing tomorrow. If I can't extract this screw I'll have to order another axle housing. $35 mistake due to shit provided hardware lol

Oof, that sux. One of my biggest concerns is snapping a tiny screw in a place where it can't be removed.
But on the bright side, you now have spare axle parts.

So, rather than having a $50 paperweight I tossed it into the GX

    Stock setup is all plastic

    20250119_101313.jpg

    20250119_101532.jpg

Install was really easy actually, just need to redo it because I guess I was supposed to use the provided pinion gear

    20250119_105040.jpg

Thinking maybe I can just leave it as is, buy a brushed upgrade motor, then swap it out when I need to pull the transmission again

And I just ordered an Injora brushed motor :spending:

Trying to keep upgrades on the GX to a minimum but fuck, it's got axles and now an HD transmission.

I'm posting this as a means of providing info.

The stock pinion gear has 10 teeth, coming from my stock brushed motor in my SCX24.

    20250119_122556.jpg

The provided pinion gear from LGRP is 11 tooth.

    20250119_122650.jpg

One tooth makes all the difference.

@Kwikvette no dice on screw extraction. Placed an order for another axle housing. Save myself the headache. The cost of tools to get this out would be the same as just buying another axle so that should be here mid week. Also ordered all my paint supplies

    Fuck that really sucks.

Send me the axle housing (empty) and I'll try to get it out?

These showed up today. Solid brass, nice and weighty. :D

    along with the screw kit.
Getting the silicone inserts to vent is kind of hit and miss. These do not, with a vent hole and talcum powder on the insert.

The other set with the white spokes I did the same way and they vent just fine.:notsure:

I wonder if you cut a strip of gauze if the silicone would allow the vent to open. I almost wonder if you need to line up a hole in the silicone too...deeper vent holes
