At least, I don't remember owning a dictionary or encyclopedia.

 

I keep a dictionary next to my computer at home. It's old and has real meaning of words. Unlike all the new dictionaries that are found on the internet. Which all have different meaning for words based on political correctness, wokeness and dei.

 

We still print postcards.
The qty has gone down a lot over the last 2 decades.

Coming from a town of 10k, I was in awe the 1st time I saw a Chicago phone book.

 

Dictionary, yes.
Encyclopedias? we didn't have that kind of money growing up. lol

I got mine in college... Still have them. A bit dated but useful when the internet is down.

 

I bought an encyclopedic dictionary in 1990 from a traveling salesman! Still have that too. One of the best book purchases I ever made. That and the Chicago Manuel of Style got me through my Masters in Environmental History.

I got a 1. I've never owned an encyclopedia. Hell, I paid my taxes with a paper check just 3 weeks ago.

I dont consume either of them
