I’ve always seen pics of this on the diff but nobody ever says what it does (the rubber component on the diff).

Height sensing brake proportioning valve. Changes your braking pressure based on the load on your vehicle. More weight (more squat) it increases braking pressure

Looks like yours is broke or at least not connected to the other side. Unless I’m just not seeing it
    Here’s how mine is

Yep, what he said. Your rod is not connected and likely you’re getting reduced rear braking as a result. On my ‘98 Dodge, I tied mine up to have full braking at all times. There’s also a bypass hose for the Dodge to provide the same effect. Not sure if Tacomas have a bypass kit to do the same thing

Yeah(like I found out on my taco)
    Running 100% front brake bias

Last I checked that LSPV was over $265
I searched here and did a LSVP delete
($40 for JEGS manual valve/$20 for brake line connections)

there are a bunch of threads here(including mine)

to prove……look at your front brake pad wear.

foresterfields40 thanks for the info, that could be one of the reasons why the brake pads went out.

ControlCar, thanks for the link on the manual lspv, that might be the option I will go with.

Many LSPV delete threads have a more “clean/professional” look……mounting the manual valve under hood
Looks awesome but requires tad bit more work/effort than I wanted

lemme find my thread, good pix and lots of help from members here
(Except for that CA emissions nazi(didn’t like my $10 P0420 fix on another thread)that said my finished product was wonky
    lol
