Where did you place the jack stand? Is it under the cv or the control arm or the front cross member?

It’s under the frame rail, behind the cab mount.

If your steering is ever off, you can just turn the wheel till the tires are straight, pull the wheel and the clock spring, reset the clock spring by finding how many turns lock to lock it has and setting it in the center, then reinstall everything. In theory this will reset the wheel too if things get away from you, and resetting the clock spring prevents it from being damaged by over turning it.
Not sure if the steering wheel to steering shaft orientation matters or not. @EatSleepTacos do you know one way or the other?

Fun fact, we had a shop replace the steering rack in our old 03 corolla and they ruined the clock spring by not doing the above.

I'm not sure, I've never pulled my steering wheel or clock spring before.

I’m trying to become a mod! 2.7 ecoboost. After some reading they’re pretty reliable engines.
Man I love it so much, it’s such a nice truck.

The engine might be reliable, not sure about the rest of the truck. Would say that we’ll see in 5 years, but you ain’t keeping that thing more than two :burp:

    Congrats on the new truck.

EXACTLY. I still have 2 years/30k miles left on powertrain warranty and that’s enough for me.

I do have a dirtbike still!

Funny enough this configuration isn’t the best for towing, I want to say my capacity is somewhere around 7,500 lbs. Betty white would’ve been too heavy.

siiiick! it was a gas gas 2t ya?

really? my 2.7 is fine for towing? i can tow 8500lbs and have done that and a bit over a few times and it does great!

the newer gen 2 2.7s depending on how its setup can tow 10k
