Milwaukee Tools

I'm not sure who needs to hear this, but this kit is $179 at Home Depot right now.



My M12 Surge impact grew legs last Wednesday, so I decided it made more sense to get a whole set rather than spend the money on a "tool only" replacement. Also decided that the regular impact would be nicer anyhow given the weight difference.

sorry to hear about your original surge.

but i definitely prefer my surge over the standard impact. my main preference is that it's quieter to operate. it's an opposite kind of thing for me, as the guy in the bay next to me insists on the electronic equivalent of waterboarding his harbor freight impact... if one ugga dugga is ok, machine gunning it for 30 seconds must be best. right?

I definitely like that the surge is quiet. In this case it just made more sense because it was a package deal, and the lightness of the other drill makes it a little easier to cope with the loudness, LOL.

I might end up picking up another Surge down the road.

 

I don't see anything on the website indicating how long the offer lasts. But, if you miss it, just wait a while. They seem to have deals on those kits fairly regularly. Last year in Florida I picked up the same kit for $229, but it came with a free 5 amp hour battery.

 

I don't need either of them, But that's a pretty good deal on both. I will probably stop by tomorrow and look at them for a while LOL, And grab one of them.

When it comes to tools, need isn't always a factor.

I have two of those kits. One for work, and the other lives in my 4Runner.

Don't even ask how much I've spent on Milwaukee tools in the last 10 years. I don't even want to know.

 

I Totally Understand LOL.

I don't belive Milwaukee currently offers anything like this.

 

Yeah they don't so it would be a third part tool that uses milwaukee batteries

 

I got this for my dad but no snow yet so can’t say how well it works

 

In my experience that type of snow “blower” kinda sucks compared to other methods for the weight and cumbersome configuration. The powered bristle brush works surprisingly well in comparison, especially for 1-2” of wet snow where that other tool will just create a slush pile in front of the tool.

 

I am just looking for something that can clear off a small path on the front sidewalk at 4am before people walk over it and cause the compacted snow to freeze. In northern NJ, this was this morning, about 4 or 5 inches. The landlord has someone who comes to shovel/salt the sidewalk, parking area, and rear asphalt area but he's got a lot of other houses and doesn't get here till 10am often.

 

Yeah… that’s a PITA. I like transfer shovels for that small of a space. Easy to manage and good for getting ice to brake up.

 

I use a push broom for the porch and walkway.
