got the rc installed and was able to have the rear bolts share with the front bolt locations on the miller cat so I l had to replace the security screws on the miller cat shield with the RC bolts and the two overlap just a bit but it seems like it’s a pretty decent fit overall. What do y’all think? Any concerns to be aware of with this solution?

How are you liking it? Could you post any pics showing the access points for both the filter and drain plug areas?

Dont think the RC accommodates for either, you pay cheap, you get cheap....

Wasn't asking about RC. What I referenced in my post was the Miller Cat front skid---- the post I quoted was someone who has one.

Finally installed Miller Cat Skid plate on my Sport………
Ordered the additional crossmember from Miller Cat (pic)…..total came out to $465 , free shipping, 10% Black Friday discount…….(you can get 5% any day with Rob Motive discount code)

a couple of pics……….of everything ordered and included……..packaging was great, so was Customer Service……

Skid install requires removal of Air Dam/Spoiler……..

put truck on ramps for extra room to maneuver………hardest part was finding a way to lift skid in place…….37lbs that felt like 100lbs……

Chose Miller Cat over the Toyota Trailhunter skid because of the 2 access panels……oil filter and oil plug……IMG_7035.jpg IMG_7037.jpg [/ATTACH] IMG_7040.jpg IMG_7041.jpg IMG_7039.jpg IMG_7038.jpg

mcx looks like a really nice we'll thought-out piece....
Seeing the cost of a trail hunter or trd pro plate & the extra drama required to service....
Dealer breaker for me, too much drama....

Looks good. Can you clarify the transmission skid plate part number is PT228-35241 and you DO or DON'T have a disconnecting sway bar.--thanks in advance

Are you talking about the cross member shown below? If so, that's included in the price...

I have a full set of the Talon skids on my 4 runner and they are great. I will be adding a set to my Tacoma soon. Shaun and his crew do a great job making sure they fit a specific setup before they offer them for sale. My 4runner was the one he used to make sure his KDSS suspension models fit on 4runners.

    Yes, that’s the one ……..
If you look at my pics, you’ll see I installed with ramps, and lifting the skid plate in place was a challenge, especially for an old guy like me
