Changing out my steering rack bushings was a PITA until I found a tip either here or TTORA...can't remember.

I first got a deep socket that was about the size of the metal sleeve and used a hammer and smacked it right out.

Then I filled a spray bottle with water and soap and started spraying around the bushings. Then I used a screwdriver and put it in the bushing and started wiggling it around so the water and soap got in between the bushing and bushing slot. A combination of wiggling it around and pushing it out eventually got it out.

edit - I know this was for my steering rack bushings but I'm assuming it would be the same principal.

I'll bring my floor jack, bottle jack, hi lift and 6 jack stands. I'll also have an assortment of wire connectors and crimper/wire stripper. I also have a 4.5" angle grinder, dremel, dremel multimax, ball joint kit.....might as well bring my reciprocating saw and garden tools to clean out Jerry's backyard!!! LOL!
