I called them, they answered immediately, I told them what I wanted and paid over the phone, they shipped my shocks out the next day :notsure:

Ben asked for a product that they'd have to R&D, that's probably why he hasn't heard back yet

They were going to talk to their R&D department to see if it was viable to add stock sized mounts and a little length added to it. All I'm waiting back in, from that phonecall and a follow up email weeks later is a yes or no. That shouldnt take 3 months to determine in my mind.

They probably laughed at putting 2.5 performance shocks on stock mounts and didn't waste any more time.

Realized I had no idea which torque spec I used on my lower ball joints a couple years ago, before I had read that LBJ bolt mega thread. Bought all new bolts (the black ones), chased the threads, and torqued to 37 ft lbs

That's what I'd have done. They were probably a little more respectful than me though and didn't laugh while the phone call was still alive

And they would have lost a few thousand on R&Ding, building, stocking, marketing, etc for shocks that they will sell one or two pairs a year. Business.

I'm surprised anyone is in the 1st gen aftermarket business, to be honest.

Do they move the LBJ forward at all?

I installed a dual colored LED dome light. Open the door again / cycle the lights power, and it will switch to red. Also swapped the glove box light to red. Now I have 14 extra of these red LED's if anyone wants one.

Eh I doubt it , even if they could just knock out the heim joints and stuff a rubber bushing in there would've been fun with me. But alas, my money stays in my pocket and I'll just find a different solution.

Finally pulled the old vapor barrier off, lubed up all the door and lock internals along with the window internals. After being busted for 16 years, it's a nice surprise I can open the door again.

I’m sure they didn’t want to be dicks, I think you got your answer though.

    Why not do custom mounts?

Full trans control by the Haltech. Yay.

The ability to monitor trans temps in the IC7 dash. Yay.

And I have use of cruise control again. Yay, Yay, Yay.

A huge thanks to Zane and Jayson for all of their efforts. This is a big deal.
