    Hello All,

I Have a 2004 reg cab tacoma 2.4L v4 Manual with about 260,000 miles. I use it mainly as a work truck. I'd like to upgrade or maybe just replace the leaf springs from what I assume are the originals currently on the truck.

I'm not necessarily trying to increase payload but would like to feel better about adding a lumber rack to the bed which would be a more permanent and continuous load on the springs. I have already replaced both the front and rear struts with some bilsteins.

Would it be better to install one of those add a leaf kits? or just replace the springs either the same amount of leafs but just new or bigger/more springs? Thoughts on Air springs?

Any recommendations on brands or parts would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a good overview of the various leaf spring options for our trucks based on usage/lift/cargo weight.

It looks like he has a 5 lug. His leaf springs are SUA.
That’ll make a difference with his options won’t it?

Ahh, didn't notice the 5-lug in the profile. OP, none of those options in the linked guide I mentioned apply!
