For $500 I couldn't pass it up, lol. Luckily, in Virginia it doesn't matter if the light is on to get it inspected

 

Speaking of inspections, I took my wife's car Thursday and had it inspected since she got a ticket Weds. for no inspection (my fault for not having it done). She called Friday and talked to a nice woman and she said more than likely it will be thrown out but we may have to pay court cost. She has to call after whatever day is on the ticket to find out. Oops on my part.

 

A $500 roadworthy car is in the distant past here. It would be closer if you added a zero on the end, and even then you'd be rolling the dice.

 

After the 14th time, they wised up to that one.

It's usually not a good thing when you get a call to look through the floor plans because there's a 20mph, -20F wind blowing through the ductwork and into the building.

 

Sounds like the fire pump room. What could go wrong

 

Someone escaped through the duct work

 

More than likely clawed their way in to steal wire.

 

Speaking of fire pump room, I'm wondering what disasters I'm going to walk into work tomorrow. Old valves have been seeping water into the outside sprinkler lines for a while now. Already had one split in the 20° weather...

 

Shouldn't be that bad, until everything thaws out

 

You know, that looks funny on video, but when you're the ones that have to deal with it...

Several times they knocked off a sprinkler head and flooded a portion of the downstairs. Luckily it's where the vans are parked and there's drainage. But, not a fun time trying to shut off the pumps and turn off the flow while the alarm is going off and people calling us on the radio

 

Kinda screams for a dry system but when it’s cold they all leak the same.

 

Yea it's an air system, but it's gotta function right for that

 

Oh I guarantee it ain't no fun to deal with

 

Heat tracing is your friend

 

I might be able to fit through the 14x24 duct that's in the area but there's NO WAY I'm going through the 10x16
