I'm struggling a bit with cold weather. Thermostat is fine. Yesterday my truck showed -32. If I was driving up hill, it was fine, the the engine temp would drop as soon as it leveled out or was idle.

I put I a piece of cardboard about 14x14 inches and placed it under the hot right on the front of the radiator. This fixed my issues.

Is there a more professional solution out there that is hidden under the hood? One that won't fall apart as soon as it rains a little?

Something like this, this is for diesel trucks mostly because Diesel freezes on something like 10 Fahrenheit. They use these in Siberia too, for larger trucks. You could ask that guy, where did he got it from.

Putting something in front of the radiator can be dangerous if you forget it's there when it gets warmer. At least cut some holes in the cardboard to allow some "venting". Lots of people in Canada did that in 1960's and 70's. Maybe double check the thermostat or get a warmer one. You might find a good cover by doing a search for "winter front for car". The good ones have the ability to have openings for venting.

I'm looking for a "hidden under the hood" solution.
