Went with a buddy in his 4runner to run Mojave Trail over the weekend. We made it about 12 miles in before he busted his transmission oil pan... My dad was able to find the nearest pan in stock, in Vegas ~5 hour round trip starting at 430am on Sunday got us back to the truck. He replaced the pan and we got back to 95 around 3. Not exactly the plan of record for the weekend :) [IMG]

JB Weld wouldn't patch it? I always have some with me (amongst many other things) when I go wheeling.

We had some JB weld and it sort of worked. We didn't have enough extra fluid, ended up putting in almost 9 qts out of the 11.3 qt capacity.

I think he ordered a set as soon as he got home

Thought the carport was suspended over said parking space with the truck backed under it, thinking It kinda matches the house, but a pretty tight fit…

Can we just use a factory set from FJ with these plates on Tacoma? I see it in the description but not sure because you use aftermarket stuff.

Yeah, OEM FJ cruiser and I think early 5th Gen 4Runner (2010-2014) rear calipers and rotors will bolt right up.

How is the difference after drums? Some people I heard don't feel any big change.

If you're just running with an open bed, probably not going to notice much difference. If you have a GFC or camper shell or a decked drawer or routinely carry a heavier load in the bed, you might benefit. Towing a trailer might benefit too.

Thanks, looks like I'm in for this in my list. Previously I was towing a utility trailer across Sierras few times per month and my brakes was not in a good shape. I have already heavy load permanently(truck camper and other stuff) and going even more heavier. But now I do not tow anymore, have a Tundra for that. Anyway, disk brakes will be a good add-on for the changes that I'm working on my truck.

Three months of graveyard shift fieldwork is finally over with, and it ended with what I can only describe as a five-hour long, 90-foot deep methane shart. So glad to be done with that BS and have my own truck back. I'd been driving my work F150 for so long that I was reaching for the tree instead of the stick driving home this morning.
