What operating system are you running on the new computer. Sometimes the New Operating Systems won't have drivers available for older printers. I worked in IT for 23 years, and ran into this problem many times. It can drive you nuts trying to figure it out. Let me know what the new OS on the computer is and what printer you're trying to find drivers for.

Yup, HP specifically is a right PITA. They’ve made it so that only large IT groups can access specific drivers instead of Unified trash. Thankfully the LaserJet spec has always been backwards compatible - just choose a classic, like a LaserJet 4+ and ride the wave…

I worked in the private sector or the real world for many years. Windows was the most prevalent Operating system hands down. Once in a while I'd run across a early Apple II computer, which I hated working on. In 2004 I went to work for my Local School System here in Rowan County Nc. What a shocking change this was. 80% Mac Computers to 20 % windows. They still had some older labs running windows NT. I came to appreciate the Mac Operating system on the Newer Macbooks and Desktops. The Mac OS actually became more user friendly than newer Windows systems that came out after windows XP. Now that I'm retired, I'll never buy another windows computer unless I have a specific need for it.

I can't believe the amount of snow that Lafayette and surrounding areas got. I lived there over 6 years, and the only winter storm that I remember is Ice everywhere. It closed the city down for a couple of days the roads were just too icy.
