    @wilcam47

    After the close of the 2024-25 KY Deer Seasons last night, we were provided an update on numbers from a KDFWR Deer Biologist… Here’s what he had to say:

    “Looking at 149,868 total harvested all season. Second highest harvest ever only to 2015.

    78,568 antlered bucks— highest harvest ever by nearly 3,000.

    71% of bucks were 2.5 or older.

    43% female, 52% antlered, 5% buck fawn.”

    Congratulations to everyone who got out and deer hunted this year, and especially to those whom were successful! We hope your freezers are full headed into the off-season… 1f98c_c6f229264c7e0b56f9543cb409ca07db1f91082d.png 203c_bee5eeaa49f4d4abb31efb8984cf918c65899cd5.png

    this 143” came from Groveton, just a stone’s throw away from Lake Livingston. That’s the Davy Crockett National Forest up there. I’m pretty fond of that area as well.

    Yep that thing weighs like 17 pounds. Walking up a mtn carrying it and a tree stand is a chore especially at my age.
