The prairie fire was putting on a show just a stones throw from me in flagstaff. It’s gonna be a nutty season.

His company put him and others up in a Ventura hotel called Clock Tower Inn. It looks like a nice place to live for a few months. I'm sure there is a shortage of lodging.

Here's something I find interesting. So the new flight sim dropped with a career mode that one of the mission types is fire fighting with air tractors and super scoopers. When building the first missions they obviously wanted to make it as realistic as possible and ended up choosing SoCal as the location for the first big fire you get to attack. Where exactly? On the WEST side of Castaic Lake . So bonus points for Microsoft predicting that spot as incredibly realistic. I was playing just a couple weeks ago scooping from lake Castaic and dumping it down almost the same ridges as they were yesterday.

Was I not clear enough about that?

Or did Microsoft google "most likely place for a wildfire?" Lol and California use Bing?

Built as in bolted on, I should say. Or rather, "not stock."

Someone crept into the studio after I left yesterday afternoon and helped themselves to some of my extra toasty CheezIts...I feel violated.

I got my truck from a lot like that. It was a local trade-in--you can still see the silhouette of the sticker from the local Toyota dealer that originally sold it. It was about the best buying experience I could hope for. The dealer let me take the truck for an afternoon for a mechanic's inspection (didn't even mind that the mechanic was 40 miles away!), took my old car on trade (showing up in one car and leaving in another was so convenient), accepted a personal check, and gave me some new (remanufactured) brake calipers and a new rear bumper to install myself because the parts on the truck needed replacement and he hadn't gotten it done yet.

Extra toasty ones are the best, did you get yours from the store or did they occur naturally from the fires?

That joke was in bad taste but the cheezits weren't I'm sure.

Extra Toasty is the only kind worth getting, I don't know why they even bother trying to sell the other kinds

In desperation when they were out once, I got the extra crunchy kind thinking they would be similar. Nope, not at all

That sounds like a great experience and much less hassle versus a big dealer. I haven't seen much in them around here, but I keep an eye out. I did buy my old AWD van from one years ago and like you said, it was one of the best purchase experiences I've had. Dead simple, nobody trying to sell you anything, fine with you taking for PPI. It's like they don't care if you buy it or not, in a good way. Meanwhile you need a burner phone just to deal with big dealerships.

I'll third that extra toasty are the best.
Some stuff is just better that way, like extra dark pretzel splits and dark russet potato chips.
Also when I make grilled cheese I tend to go crispy.
