Think about picking these up next since i'm moving from a 16 wheel in a 315/75/16 to a 17inch wheel and the 315/70/17 comes in a D load which will be nice coming down from an E load tire.

Anyone in the Denver area have experience with these in winter road conditions? (I know the AT3 would be better for that, but I do a lot of off-roading)

A 315 mm wide tire on a relatively light truck, with a near-MT tread pattern with no siping. Not ideal for winter weather conditions.

Don't have them on my Tacoma, but do have 295s on my FJ. IMO the perfect size.....fjcruiser.jpg

Thank you for stating the obvious and not answering my question. I usually run M/Ts year round here in Denver(our winters aren't that bad) I was specifically asking for someone with experience driving it in winter.

Not in Denver, but did manage to navigate thru 9-12" of snow in Arkansas a couple weeks ago without issue.

I've officially given up on the RT trail at least in 275/70-17 2nd sliced sidewall in 8 months. Rubber really chucking other sidewalls starting to slice. The Rt trails looking significantly worse than all the other tires on the trail run.

I really really want to like these but the 2 ply sidewall just isn't holding up. Just debating going up to 285 to get the 3 ply or looking at other options cause I'm not gonna buy a new tire every other trip

On a positive note Glue Tread sidewall patch kits are the real deal. Patch held up through some really nasty terrain

I think I've talked myself out of these. Likely going with KO3s when my size becomes available. I really wanted to like these but I'm hearing too many stories of balancing issues and subpar performance.

Never went back to toyo. I've got Toyo MT now, Hopefully this doesn't happen. But they are E rated this time around though

That's the rub mine have balanced great even told discount not to touch them at last rotation cause balance was spot on. They perform great in a variety of conditions but just wear awful and can't hold up to actual offroading very well.

I've heard really good things on the Toyo MT.
Mine are E rated but certainly don't hold up to it

Just ordered a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Boss At in LT285 70-17. Dude at discount said the e rated rt trails were 3 ply sidewall but visual inspection proved that to be false. No idea why Toyo would make a offroad focused tire that doesn't have 3 ply sidewalls at least in E rated sizes
