Someone tried that in Los Angeles. The neighbors complained.

The neighborhood children were more terrified than they were of the skeletons, zombie dogs and Frankenstein monster.

I made a "California" reference in a gun forum about a Glock-themed jack-o-lantern. Even the California members of TW I am pretty sure understood.

G45 was my first purchase ever in guns, and I read G&A (I thought I was brilliant) for a few months to learn a few things. But in 2020 anything you could get your hands on was a win. Still like it. despite not trying several before. 17 rounds (unless I buy a 33-rd magazine) in a shorter barrel may not be perfect but I will keep it until something provably better comes along.

Still need a 10-rd gun (probably G43x) for less-friendly territory.

After trying out different brands of polymer handguns I always end up coming back to Glocks. They are easy to work on and just work. My carry gun is a G43x mos with a Vortex Defender. I carry that with the Shield Arm 15 rounders and when I have to go out of state I can swap between 10 rds or 15 rds mags. If you plan on getting the G43x you won’t be disappointed.

Using the extra plate on the optic you cannot co-witness, correct? But the point of a reflex optic is to change how you aim.

If your using a plate, your going to need taller sights. I have Ameriglo suppressor sights as back up. You also have the option of using Holoson red dot that doesn’t require taller sights. My G43x mos with the Vortex Defender is a direct mount optic that doesn’t require aftermarket sights. Basically it co witness with the stock plastic sights. If I remember correctly Holosun SCS or something like that doesn’t require different sights.

I put AmeriGlo on my G45 5 years ago ... I guess that gives me 5 more years before replacement. I see no need right now to use $100 night-irons if I pay $350 for an optic and learn how to use it.

    AIMPOINT A-CUT INTERFACE
The unique, patented cut enables the sight to be mounted deeper into the pistol slide for extreme stability and durability - ensuring long-lasting, rugged performance in any condition.

The wedge pushes the sight forward and removes any mechanical and material tolerances from the system.

    • Dot intensity is controlled by tactile, intuitive buttons with four night-vision and eight daylight brightness options.
    • Front and rear lenses are hardened and fully coated.
    • Windage and elevation are click adjustable.
