Yeh I think I met you at the last Krave open day (Aussie Guy). I found even with my old -6 275’s I would get mud all up the side, especially because no front mud flaps. I think you had -38’s? They stuck out pretty far! Replacing side mirror glass would get old! I wonder if rock sliders might deflect rocks a bit!
I ordered 1x F5 -25 to test and use as a spare! If I like it I’ll order 4x more. It should only stick out 1/2” more going from -12 and am looking at C4 rock runner sliders.

Yep I do think I recall chatting with you at the open house. Trucks looking real good.

If you want to save the cash to test fit I have a set of ssw's in a -25 my winters are on.

The sliders will help with anything from the front wheels back. I find my rears throw everything forward that's what's killing my mirrors.

Wow that’s nice. What’s size and offset are the wheels? Looks like a nice fit.

I have read most of the thread and some others as well.
I have purchased 22-23 trd pro wheels (16x7 +4 offset), a 2" lift front/rear. Based on measurements other members gave me, i should clear the stock UCAs. I plan to trim plastic, hammer flatten the pinch weld and do a CMC myself. How much of a chop should i be expecting? The basic (first picture) or the extreme (previously posted, 2nd picture/3rd picture ).

Chop in 1st picture should be fine. I did 1.5" lift, FJ 16.5x7.5 wheels (+15 i believe), and stock UCAs. I get a bit of rub on UCAs at full lock, but the snug fit helps in clearing everything else. I did not do the math for the difference between 7" at +4 and 7.5" at +15, but think you will be a hair wider and likely fully clearing the UCA. The flaps will have to go, hammer pinch weld and a bit of plastic trimming. I'm running coopers and they are a bit smaller too.

thanks for the feedback. I had someone tell me they rubbed the factory UCAs with 295/70/17 on -12mm offset. That didn't make sense as my pre-order measurements calculated 5/8" of clearance to the UCA. I bought just one to test fit before getting four more. I want to keep it minimal at roughly 2" of lift.

Did you trim your front bumper/flare at all?

10,000KM on these tires now! Got to say I like the truck a whole lot more now. I can’t say I notice a huge difference in power even on mountain passes with my sled in the back. I can’t say I feel the need to re gear. Now that the weather it turning I’ll be throwing some rock sliders and armour on and getting to wheeling the truck!

Do you have any more pictures showing tire width from the front or back of the truck?

I think 285/70/17 might be a little narrow on 17x9 -38 with these K03's. I'm thinking 295/70/17 might look more proportional. :notsure:

His tires should a bit more representative because i'm only on 7" wheels. Personally, this size KO3 seems taller and narrower than i expected.

I've got some work ahead of me. I want to trim, cut and weld to make them fit at stock height for street driving. For those wondering. There's almost 1-1/2" of clearance between the tire and factory UCA.

1.5" of clearance while the wheels are straight, correct? What about fully locked and turned?
