    Hi All!

I have a 2002 2WD Prerunner SR5 Sidestep with 277k miles and I need to roll my sleeves up to do some suspension work myself - I'm a DIY mechanic solely influenced on saving money - mainly follow youtube and google advice to get the job done.

I've just purchased some Bilstein 4600s off of Shock Surplus. I've found people on this forum stating that their 4600s did not come with new washer and bushing kit.

Can anyone tell me where to find a washer/bushing kit? Are they universal or is it best to buy from Toyota? I also have read it's best for me to replace the strut mount too. I was thinking KYB because it seems to be reputable and is considerably less than factory prices. I've read this strut mount also does not come with washer/bushing kit.

I'm also replacing the spring coils (I've heard mixed reviews on needing to do this. Considering my truck is 23 years old, with high miles, I'd like to gain back any height I can if the current coil springs have compressed in any way. Since Toyota and Moog have discontinued new coil springs, I landed on ordering from Rock Auto the Lesjofors coil springs (listed as replacement for stock height prerunners and supposedly built in somewhere in either Europe or USA. They're also supposedly used on Volvos, Audis, BMWs, so I figured I'd take my chance).

I received this diagram from Toyota Parts Department - for the washers and bushings (as seen in picture) it appears there are two bushings? I've seen other threads on the forum showing only one bushing to be installed. Hoping someone and clarify this for me.

I've never done suspension work, but I feel confident I can successfully replace these.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

Here’s the strut mounts I used back when I had Bilstein 5100’s & Eibach 3” lift springs. I needed them right away so I just went to my local O’reilly’s
Hope this helps at least for the strut mounts

    Thank you, guys!

Good to know these options are there.

The rubber bushings (I believe) that are circled in the picture are what I'm after. I just don't know if these are universal pieces or if they need to be specific to my bilstein shocks or my toyota truck?

    Any insights?

    Thank you!!!

You're Welcome, I just installed 4600's on my 2003 DC in 2022, but I couldn't remember exactly what bushing kit I used.

Nice! I've been searching using the product numbers of the struts and can't find a match. I just emailed them and hope to here back asap. Did you end up using new strut mounts?
