Help me out here people. I'm thinking about this more. The road to volleyball is frozen, has been for 3 weeks since the first snow. PA isn't good at clearing their roads. MD clears everything, but they use all kinds of stuff that rusts the underside of every vehicle. While I don't like ruining the underside and reducing its lifespan, accidents are worse, so I don't want to drive across ice either. Most of the US states get snow, so has someone figured out the best of both worlds?

 

Well I got all the staples and stitches out this past Tuesday and the splint is off. I got this moon boot looking thing to wear if I go out. But they said not to put any weight on the leg for 3 more weeks.

 

As long as you don't succeed, hella fun!!

 

what’s the best of both worlds? Snow but not icy???

 

Cleared roads without rusting or destroying the undercarriage.

 

Here, the rare times they bring the plows out, they also dump salt..

Don't think you can have one without the other..

It happens so infrequently here that I just spend a good bit of time hosing the truck down after..

I live in Delaware and I get my underside fluidfilmed every fall. Works so far

 

Host volleyball at home so you don't have to drive anywhere

 

Yeah, I know there are preventative things that can be done. I just figured after years of this, someone could have found the magic mix that melts the ice but doesn't hurt the metal.

Is that unrealistic?

 

That would make for a very sad game indeed.

Don't forget cheap - it has to be cheap..

 

I guess. I just think if we're smart enough to get ourselves into space, surely we can do better with this.

But it becomes a matter of priority
And it has to be cost effective

So we probably can but we most likely won't

True. And I suppose considering who runs that operation, problem solving isn't always the top priority.
