Anybody know what these spots are? They are on the right side door window glass. I assume they are water spots so I bought some Invisible Glass glass stripper and they didn’t budge.
Side note: this is not on my Tacoma it’s a 97 Montero.
All other glass is spotless so I’m guessing it was getting constant sprinkler spray on that side.
Anyway/product to remove? I even tried clay bar

Try glass cleaner and a razor blade? Be careful not to scratch the glass with the razor if you try it. Keep the blade flat and move slow

If they're etched they're likely not going to remove. You might try a 50/50 mix of distilled water and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle.

50/50 distilled vinegar and distilled water sometimes works too.

+1 on vinegar. Calcium carbonate hard water deposits are really difficult to remove any way but weak acids. Try soaking a paper towel in vinegar (or 50:50 vinegar:tap water) and leave it in contact with an area of the glass for a half hour or more. Try cleaning normally or with your clay bar after that.

I had similar spots on a previous vehicle, the only way I got them off was using rubbing compound on a buffing wheel attached to a cordless drill

White vinegar on some paper towels should take that off. Go slow. The vinegar should disolve the hard water spots.

So I soaked a paper towel in 4% acidity white vinegar and stuck it to the window for about 30 minutes and it did nothing, I may have to live with it

Nobody ever believes me or is willing to try but some very fine steel wool and sometimes with a bit of cleaner works miracles on glass. Just make sure it's like triple 0 or so.

About 20 years ago I got into car detailing. My parents vehicles along with mine were covered in hard water spots. The glass was the worst as it look like it was fogged over at night because the spots were so bad. I'm 90% sure this is what I purchased locally from a glass shop to remove the spots. It's definitely the same color. I didn't have a buffer back then but if I remember correctly I used this product, some terry cloth towels, 0000 steel wool & a crap ton of elbow grease. Glass looked brand new when I was done.

0000 steel wool and straight vinegar. If the glass is really etched may need to polish it.

Gonna check out that water spot remover.

Glad other people use steel wool. Learned that trick from a guy that only did window cleaning. I understand peoples hesitation about using it, but it really is one of the best tools for window cleaning.

When I use straight vinegar I dampen a cloth and wipe it on the window so it doesn’t run then use the 0000 wool to clean. Then make sure to immediately wash the glass with a soapy cloth and rinse. Just so the vinegar doesn’t sit.

It looks like stubborn mineral deposits from repeated water exposure. If glass stripper and a clay bar didn’t help, try soaking the spots with white vinegar for a few minutes before wiping with a microfiber cloth. If they’re still there, a fine polishing compound like cerium oxide should remove any etching. To prevent future buildup, window tinting can help by adding a protective layer that reduces direct exposure to sprinkler overspray and other contaminants.

This stuff did absolutely nothing on a detail job I had in my shop. It can be hard water or acid raid but none the less the best product for removing water stains and have used this method for 30 plus years. You need some wire wheel clearer, spray it onto the surface and wash with a microfiber towel or a terry cloth rag and rince good 30 seconds after. Don't let it dry and thank me later! This will take out and water stain on glass and paint. Tried all the other product and home hack to see if anything was better.
