There are two buc-ee's that I pass several times a year and they're not in the best spots for stopping just due to time and distance.

Currently there are two Wally's locations, one in Pontiac, Illinois and one here in St. Louis. There are two under construction, one somewhere in Indiana, and one in Kansas City with another one being started just south of Nashville in May. Their company goal is to add 10 stores in 10 years which they're currently on track for, but if the new ones do well I could see them getting more aggressive.

But the company was founded to be a direct competitor to large travel stops like buc-ee's.

    Thanks for the warnings.

Sounds like more 'fun' is in the forecast.

Don't think I posted up a picture with the bumper painted. Thick base of HardOn and then black acrylic enamel. Has texture, but looks good. Like it better than I thought I would. loving the lights! Here is the final look-with salt and dirt:

    Looks good!
Time to get some dents in it.

Acrylic should hold. If I remember right, the Hard-On directions said not to use poly.
If not topcoating it also said not to use any fluid film or similar products on it.

Let's all enjoy the last time we'll see that bumper without any scratches in it. :D

    Looks really good, Pat!

Yup, that's what I'm figuring. I have plenty of Sawzall blades!

Not an hour after I made that other post, I may have found a used set in TX with LCA skids for a decent price...if the shipping isn't too bad.

James, I am just amazed at you. A man of your high caliber who enjoys a fine cigar with a top shelf drink and then you ruin one of the finest foods around by pre- cooking. :annoyed:

I think you need to memorize this.

I bought some 3/16 steel plate yesterday. Hopefully by Friday next week I have a new and improved skid plate on there...

Its down south... I pick it up next weekend on the Ice Road Truckers run. One more time taking the bumper off... Need to replace the factory studs on the frame horns as they got destroyed during construction. Have some nice 7/16 Grade 8 bolts/nuts/washers sitting on my desk for a minion to install.
