    Front at 45mm

    Rear at 67mm

Ignoring the 10ths of a mm on purpose. These are their collapsed lengths from one end to the next ensuring the "swivel end" is parallel with the driveshaft.

That'll help. Also looks like the "gladiator length" links I got are gladiator rear, c10 front.

    No shit?

Well at least you don't need C10's now once you get your C-Bolt links.

Maybe someone swapped a driveshaft and returned the set?

See, there's another reason I wish I could still do small 1/24 size! I pay 20 to 30 percent more for parts, and they don't look that good. I did see some Dlux axles that burned an image in my mind that looks similar but they're priced about as high as some Vanquish RTR.

Did anyone buy one of first rounds of these?

Since I'm in the Micro Crawler group, I'll get threads pop up from the Vanquish group even though I'm not in it (must be public).

And man, it's so divided there.

Half the people saying they're worth it, etc. If you can't buy one or more you must be poor.

Then the other half talking about it being overpriced POS

So looks like you and @nd4spdbh are gonna be building a new 1/24?

    Transmission and bluetooth module arrived.

I can't install it - I don't have a small enough washer to shim the motor.

LGRP does not include mounting hardware, that's fine because Furitek does.

But using the Furitek bolts (all four are identical in length), causes the bolts to actually make contact with the motor and not actually cinch it down meaning LGRP's tolerances on their motor mount is off even though it is meant for such motors specifically calling out for the Kumodo Mini (what I have).

Now I'll have to order up some washers and wait for that to arrive :annoyed:

Edit: Ordered M2 hardware instead this way I'll just run appropriate length bolts.

Oof sounds like we're both discovering the issues of making everything play nice from different manufacturers lol. Gotta love the ground up builds. I ordered 2 different rear hinge mounts off Ali express in hopes one of them will work with my body

I have used this so many times to sand a body line straight, reduce the length of a screw or rod plus a variety of other tasks. I highly recommend it as well if you don't have something similar under the bench

That's right, I forget you guys get a simple flip up style setup. My GX470 has that and I really like it.

The M2 hardware that came with the Furitek is 12mm long, and measuring with my calipers it seems a 10mm length will be perfect.

The kit I bought has everything from M2 up to M6 which works out since I often need something anyway when I'm making shit at home. I have a ton of M8 to M12 hardware and sometimes wish I had the smaller shit.

Did you see my measurements for the driveshaft lengths?

I'll measure my C10 and Deadbolt sets once they arrive as well.

Hoping by tonight it's running under it's own power.

At least the ESC is now programmed :bananadance:

I've got tons of tools, just don't want to attempt to shorten such a tiny screw and risk having tiny burrs and mucking up the threads on the motor itself.

But I was half tempted to just shorten two bolts when I stopped to tell myself, I could set the bolts aside and having a set in the event that I need them for something else.

My front driveshaft measure out to 45mm fully compressed. Would you mind measuring your front links? Just to confirm that "gladiator length" actually means c10 front with gladiator rear. I have 2 more sets of shafts on order with various lengths.

Yeah so here's Gladiator front and rear per the set I received -

Once my C10 links arrive tonight, I'll post the compresssed length for the front.

Sorry I don't know why I typed links in the post above but look at the quoted post. The driveshaft matches the same length as yours.

I meant to say C10 driveshafts.

Both C10 and Deadbolt driveshafts arrive tonight.

Naw I have 200$ into my ascent 18 and its plenty of fun on that level and no need to spend more on that scale IMO, the 1/10th is so much more bang for the buck.

Speaking of the 1/10th, Got my set of backup links/driveshafts/half shafts and stub axles yesterday. This will go in the RC box that comes with me on bigger trips, I have a little fishing flip lid container (2x4x6in ish out of focus bottom right) that goes in the backpack for various hardware for trail repairs.

Gotta love aliexpress everything pictured was like 40$

I wonder if a factory gladiator has c10 length links and shafts? Just doesn't make sense in my head as to why if I get gladiator length links the gladiator length front drive shaft is too long. Is it because of how low the trans sits in these chassis maybe?
