Not sure if it's been mentioned already but an indexable head ratchet is very helpful when removing that hard to get to bolt on the front diff ADD. No need to drop the two front diff mounting bolts for more clearance. Thought I share in case others may find it helpful but if it's been shared already, I apologize in advance.

I bought my 1st ratchet (normal style Craftsman) close to 40 years ago. Didn't even know and never heard about an indexable ratchet before your post. Had to look it up to see what it was. Pretty cool - thanks for sharing.

I hadn't heard of one either. I was just in there bolting up a re-geared front diff looking at how I'd reach the ADD solenoid someday with the limited clearance. I'll put one of these ratchets on order now!

You're welcome, glad the info was useful for you gentlemen!

For more stable ratcheting, stick your right hand around the ADD until your finger(s) touches the ratchet head. That little finger pressure helps the socket sit nice and solid on that hard to get to bolt as you ratchet away.
