Now I'm watching YouTube brat recipes.

It seems split between grilling before or after the beer.

To my surprise, the brats in Germany are not like the ones in WI.

Finer ground meat and more like a sausage.
    Maybe @Camerasandcoffee can confirm.

Ah, you were thinking for SAS again. 2005+ ford super duty axles front and rear. That's a Dana 60 front and Sterling 10.5 rear and come with disk brakes. Been seeing those drop in price lately and would be a good option.

The best I ever had was a German sausage on a Swiss mountain top. It was very much as you described.

Not crispy at all. Just smooth yet firm. It came on a paper plate with a small hard roll and an adequate amount of wonderfully flavored brown mustard. No utensils. It was meant to be finger food.

Venison Dogs, only if I get them made at a place in Sheboygan.

Your not doing it wrong if that works you. More than one way to skin a cat.
Just a little :boink: amongst friends.
But, Sheboygan is considered the Brat Capitol of the World.

Sounds like the next meet up is going to need to have a brat competition

All this talk of grilling Bratwurst and no pictures? well lets fix that. I am in the Boil before grill camp. Shiner Bock is the beer of choice for the boil.

No brats but stopped for a beef stick snack up on the ridge.

They're dredging sand out of the river, again. Ruined a prime bass spot. 20250125_141103.jpg 20250125_141209.jpg 20250125_141515.jpg

I also got out an played today. Very happy dog:

Snow bunny. The Penokees have a bit of snow but hardly enough to warrant 4x4. Still fun to get out and play in the trees and show off that bumper:

This is a someday for me-there used to be a bridge here, now long gone. This is a doable crossing at low flow (Marengo River) but will require some winching to get up the other side. Need to ride this and make sure the exit on the far side also still exists. I think I know where it is but as yet it is unconfirmed. It crosses private land so I am hoping to get permission to bring you knuckle heads with me... Applefest winch day 202?
