i need help installing some interior lights

I got some blue led lights for the interior of my truck and it sais that I need to hook them up to the fuse box but I am having a problem finding the fuse box. Can anybody help out?

 

If you can't find the fuse block you shouldn't be doing electrical work. Period.

I cant tell you specifically where it is since my first gen is probably different from your second gen. But your truck manual will show where the fuses are and how you can access them.

 

You have two fuse boxes. The easiest to access is behind the change holder (above your left knee when driving). Just pull it out to access, there's even a diagram on the back of the change holder to tell you what each fuse is for. When in doubt check the owners manual.

If you're installing lights, just do a quick search of the threads, there's some good tips and pics.

Make sure you find a ground so you don't set your taco on fire lol, by your original post doesn't seem like you've done this before. Good luck.

 

Yeah I found it earlier it only took a little bit of common sense to finally kick in and read the manual lol, but @NaYoung I have done it just not in a taco, my friend and I hooked some up in his f150 but it was a little easier to get to his fuse box

 

Personally, I would hook up whatever lights you have to a cig lighter! Tap into the red wire behind the cig lighter assembly then tap into the ground that is on the cig lighter assembly as well. Quick and easy! You can also mount a switch if you want.

I have done this several times to have footwell lights, best thing about them is that they are on whenever the car is on! I guess you could also use one of those "add-a-fuse" thingies but then since you'd have to find the fuse location which goes on with ignition or is constant hot depending on your preference.
