Yeah, DHL is soon to be out of business here. My brother works for a company that resells shipping and they used to sell DHL services. I've heard some baaad stuff about them from him. My brothers company was the larget seller of DHL and due to the fact that DHL is absolutely horrible, they've switched to a different shipper

I personally haven't had a problem with UPS! Our driver for our town kicks serious ass!!! Now I have had tiny issues like on the tracking stuff on the website but nothing major like a delayed delivery. Our driver is really cool too!! He just delivers to the fire house when we are on shift even if it has our personal address on the package! So you can't really say the WHOLE UPS company blows, even though i know where your coming from. It's just those few like CS that can bite a big one!

some of this, a little of that
something else to remember this time of year is the weather has things so screwed up. Fedex delivered some items to us that have been in Spokane since last Wednesday, they are jsut buried. We have received over 60" of snow this month already and more on the way. There have been days in the last week or two where none of them have operated due to weather. We also just had some Christmas gifts arrive that were stuck in Portland, OR for a few days. I know it doesn't excuse their usually dissapointing customer service but anything that is going through this area in route to somewhere else is headed for major delays.

that's what you get for making them lift something heavy. They probably just through it away.

oh no it wasnt lost...youre more than likely right that they didnt want to lift it...or someone thought it would look better on their truck...

I got the fab company involved and then when nothing happened i got a lawyer involved and all of a sudden a bumper showed up 3 days later

it was listed as being in a hub in michigan for like 2 weeks...DURING THE SUMMER! and i finally called...and after a week of phone calls between the 3 of us and me emailing pictures of what the bumper should look like to a CSR...i got a lawyer involved and magically my bumper made it from michigan to sc in one of those stupid little yellow vans in 3 days

Who told you 2-3 days? Standard UPS shipping from NY to Texas normally takes 5 days from the time UPS gets the package from the shipper. You can get faster shipping but for a grill sized package it'd probably cost over $50 for 3rd day guaranteed. I'm not trying to overly protect UPS but that shipping estimate is somewhat optimistic.

Just go get it yourself, see if you can do it for the same $ and you'll also all kinds of free time while driving to complain to yourself. That way we don't have to hear ya.

If someone bitches with the windows up, does anyone hear him?

Here we go again. I hurt someone's feelings with a comment about the discussion and I get a negative rep. A blind one at that. Come out come out where ever you are and let's chat about it.

    PMs are very much welcomed.

And why is it all the positive reps have a name after it but the neg(s) yes, I now have more than one from the same post, are nameless. Hmmm...Nameless rhymes with Nutless.

Lol, unfortunately shipping from Cali to Florida is a little less than the gas to even get out of the south east...

Although, it would be really funny to see someone going off on themselves while driving over a shipping error.

So basically you're saying that if I pay you for an hour of work and you don't do it, I should STFU and do it myself instead of bitching that you didn't do what you were paid to do.

You'll go far in corporate life. Perhaps you're already in management?

Not management but I do have an inside on the freight shipping end of your problem. I'd give you exactly what information you'd need to get this rectified but those little red dots are keeping me from cracking into my "I'll help out a fellow Tacomian" book.

It starts with calling the shipper and canceling the order even though it's been processed. That forces them to pay....Uh oh....lights are flickering....power failure....'puter is going dow &^!@#$%*^%$%#^$#&^*&^%

    Damn!!!! maybe next time....
